And of course, you should visit the capital city: Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Close to the city, the Anaga Rural Park is located, a place in the nature where you can enjoy hiking. How long is flight to Tenerife
Tenerife has an international airport, receiving flights from all over the world. In order to situate the archipelago geographically, it is important to know that the Canary Islands belong to Spain, but are closer to the African continent. To give you an approximation, from Manchester & London the flight takes around 4.5 hours, from Berlin, Germany 5.5 hours. From Amsterdam to Tenerife the flight also takes 4.5 hours. Meanwhile, if you are travelling from the USA, the flight can last more than 10 hours. Not all flights are direct, but sometimes they make a stopover in Madrid or Barcelona. From Madrid the flight takes almost 3 hours and from Barcelona 3.5 hours. It is also important to clarify that Tenerife has two airports, one in the south and one in the north. You can reach your hotel by public bus, taxi or rent a car.
