The private helicopter

The Canary islands helicopter transfers are made in a Jet Ranger Bell 206 Helicopter model. This single-engine helicopter has a capacity for four passengers plus the pilot. Bell Helicopter designed this helicopter in Canada (Quebec), originally made for the US Army. The helicopter is known as a comfortable helicopter for short and medium flights.

The Pilot

The helicopter company has been operating in Tenerife for many years and has a number of excellent pilots available. The pilots are used to carrying out daily helicopter tours in Tenerife, and therefore have a large number of logged flight hours over the Canary Islands. The pilots are highly qualified professionals, who were even able to safely carry out helicopter flights over the volcanic eruption of La Palma in 2021.

Passenger fees

The extra deposit cost per passenger is to compose the extra weight so the helicopter will use more fuel.

Prices are for round trip

The prices are for a out and back helicopter flight. If you wish to use the helicopter transfer back to Tenerife, you will be charged an additional 100€ per hour for the time the pilot has to remain waiting at the landed location. In addition, landing fees are also charged although these are usually in the range of 20-60€ per day.

Prices for 1 way transfer

If you want just a single trip, the price is the same because the pilot has to fly back to Tenerife without passengers. This is because in Tenerife the helicopter company is located, and from here we get many inquiries for flying trips.

Helicopter island touring prices

The above prices are based on transfer prices, should you wish to do a helicopter tour over an island, please discuss this with us first. The price will not differ greatly, but it will cost extra as there is a larger distance to be covered.

Helicopter chartering information

1. The temperature inside the helicopter is similar to the temperature outside on the same day. Therefore, select clothing that suits the weather conditions.
2. There is no pick-up service available until at least the end of June 2023. This means that you will have to come to the helicopter station by car or taxi.
3. Passengers must bring their official identity card, DNI, NIE or passport with them for the helicopter ride.
4. Please mention your weight in the order form. The pilot needs this information for the helicopter journey. 
5. The helicopter has a capacity for 1 pilot and 4 passengers. For the groups that consist of more than 4 people and would like to make a helicopter transfer, we can fly up and down several times.
6. Flying in a helicopter is very stable. However, when you are quickly sick it may be wise to take a travel tablet prior to flying.

Meeting location Helidream

1. Meeting point: C. Charfa, 38670 Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
2. You should attend at least 10 minutes before departure time. 
3. There are spacious parking areas in front the meeting location.
4. Open the location on google maps, find here the departure location and the office of Club Canary. 
5. You will also find the exact address and assistance number on your order confirmation.
6. If you want to be picked up somewhere in Tenerife, because you are far away from the start location, it can be arranged in some cases. However, this will need to be discussed first and there may be extra costs involved.

Helicopter chartering policy

1. No smoking on the flight.
2. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
3. This flight requires good weather. If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather you will be offered a refund or the chance to reschedule your flight.
4. Cancellation or rescheduling of the private helicopter is possible up to 15 days in advance. However, a 200€ cancellation fee will be charged to cover transaction costs and processing time.
5. In case you want the pilot to wait for you at the location to return with you to Tenerife this is possible. The fee for the pilot for each hour of waiting is 100€, this can be paid on the day of your trip. But the pilot must be informed in advance.
