Deposit
This is the amount you pay to reserve your wakeboarding lesson date. The deposit, in this case, is a portion of the total amount to be paid and therefore will not be returned after the activity.
Arrival
The remaining amount to be paid is noted as Arrival. You will pay this on the day of your booked experience upon check-in. This can be done in cash or via card unless your ticket states otherwise.
Your paid down payment, and the amount to be paid on arriving, will be listed on your E-ticket that you will receive after you place your order.

Tenerife wakeboarding FAQ
Wakeboarding is a water sport in which you are pulled behind a motorboat while standing on a board.
Wakeboarding is relatively quick to learn. It is a sport in which you only have to learn body control and stability over the board. Wakeboarding has a satisfyingly steep learning curve. Wakeboarding can be done at any age and does not require any prior skills. Don’t worry if you don’t have any prior experience, it is not necessary to be able to succeed. Accept the challenge!
Surfing is catching and riding ocean waves. It requires you to paddle, get up on the board, and balance yourself in order to catch the wave. When wakeboarding you do not have to paddle or catch waves. You are attached to a board and holding onto a rope attached to a boat. The boat pulls you giving you as much speed as you like. This allows for a much easier experience, as all you have to focus on the the board and your body balance.
Wakeboard requires water wear. You can wear a swimming costume or a wetsuit/board-shorts depending on the season. We recommend a wetsuit which is provided by the water world! Make sure to let us know of your size.

Tenerife wakeboarding information
- Do not forget your Club Canary ticket. You can have it on your phone or printed out.
- Be sure to have some cash or a debit card with you, as the session requires a final payment before it begins.
- Pack your swimwear, a towel and sunscreen.
- The staff at the wake school speak several languages.
- The average group session consists of 8 people. This can sometimes be a little less.
- Make sure you do not not start wakeboarding with a complete empty stomach.
- Make sure you have not drunk any alcohol before the session.
- Children under the age of 16 must have permission from their parents.
- There is a toilet and a room to change your clothes at the water sports school.
Water world school location
- Meeting point: Marina Puerto Colon, pantalan 4, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
- You should attend at least 15 minutes before the session starts.
- There are many parking options nearby. However, it is a hugely busy area and is probably most occupied. We therefore recommend you come early in the morning or else take a cab.
Tenerife wakeboarding policy
- To participate, you must master basic swimming techniques and and have some reasonable level of fitness.
- We will try to assign you to a group of your same level and age. However, we cannot guarantee that it will always be a perfect match.
- Minimum age to participate is 8 years and the maximum age 70 years. For exceptions contact us.
- Wakeboarding in Tenerife requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- You may cancel or reschedule the trip for free up to 48 hours in advance. Send us your request by email: office@clubcanary.com.
- If you do not cancel in time or are not in time on the day of the water session, there will be no refund.
- Complaints regarding wakeboarding and waterskiing sessions should be discussed with the water world school. Club Canary staff is not present on the day and cannot judge situations.
- If you get sick, or you find wakeboarding scary / not fun and want to stop. We cannot offer a refund.

Wakeboarding lesson Tenerife
First, you will take the boat and depart to the open ocean. Far from any harmful obstacles. that could get in your way. The equipment will be ready and prepared for you. Then your first water starts will begin. In the water you will be mainly busy learning to find the right timing and body posture to be able to stand and wakeboard alone.
You will have either 15 or 30 minutes and although dependent on your abilities, that should give you enough tries to be super exhausted and fulfilled afterwards! Maybe even with a newly found passion.

If you are an advanced water sport enthusiast, we recommend you let us know in the booking so that we make sure an advanced trainer will be on the boat to give you some tips to make amazing progress. Another option would be to book the boat charter all to yourself and have unlimited time of solo riding.
Water conditions for wakeboarding in Tenerife
We don’t want participants to be in danger, or simply unable to do the activity due to too big waves or wind. To ensure that your booked Tenerife wakeboard lesson can go ahead, please follow the following 2 tips:
- Book your wakeboard session early in your vacation. If the day is not convenient we will contact you to reschedule.
- When you make your booking choose the option “when the conditions are best” we will then depending on the weather conditions choose the best water conditions time for you.
