FAQ
Why Is This The Best Way To Visit La Gomera From Tenerife?
Small group max 18, fast ferry from Los Cristianos, and an official guide. You spend more time exploring and less time waiting for a big coach.
Is La Gomera A “Must-Do” From Tenerife?
If it’s your first time on Tenerife, explore Tenerife first. When you want a second island in one day, this VIP small group tour is the best choice.
Why Do Bloggers And Tour Sites Push La Gomera So Much?
Because many La Gomera tours are higher-priced, they often bring higher commissions. We keep it honest: great trip for quality seekers and repeat visitors, but not a must for every first-timer.
What Days Does The Tour Run?
Tuesday and Thursday only. Seats are limited to 18, so book early.
Where Is Pickup And What Time?
Pickup in Costa Adeje, Las Américas, Los Cristianos between 08:20–08:50. Staying in the north or outside the area? Meet at the Fred. Olsen ticket office (Los Cristianos port) at 09:00.
Do I Need Hiking Gear?
No. This is not a hiking tour. Short, easy paths in Garajonay are fine with normal shoes.
Is Lunch Included?
No, by design. We stop at a local restaurant so you choose what you like. Prices in La Gomera are friendly, and quality is better than a fixed “menu for 50.”
What’s The Group Size And Why Not A Big Bus?
Max 18 people. Big buses (around 50) mean long hotel rounds and slower stops. Small group = faster logistics and more views.
Can You See Dolphins On The Ferry?
Yes, there’s a good chance during the Tenerife ↔ La Gomera crossing. Sightings are common but never guaranteed.
How Do Payments Work?
Adults 145€ (pay 40€ now, 105€ on the day). Children 3–11 130€ (pay 30€, then 100€). Every 3rd person in one booking gives 10€ off the total.
What Documents Do I Need?
Bring a passport or EU ID for the inter-island ferry. Without it you cannot board. If you arrive without valid ID and miss the tour, this counts as a no-show under our terms. Your deposit is not refunded, and the remaining on-arrival amount is still due. Please double-check IDs for everyone in your booking before pickup.
What If I Cancel Last Minute, Don’t Show Up, Or I’m Sick?
Short answer: no refund, and the remaining on-arrival amount is still due for late cancellations and no-shows. This is an exclusive small-group tour with limited seats. Only exception: if you provide an official doctor or hospital letter stating the named traveler cannot attend, we can review a waiver for that person only. It does not apply to the whole group. For exact timing and fees, please see the Policy section on this page.
Is This La Gomera Trip New? Why Haven’t I Seen It Before?
Yes. This La Gomera VIP Small Group Tour is a new option we began offering in mid-September 2025. Depending on when you’re reading this, it may still be relatively new. It runs through a small network of trusted partners, so you won’t find it with every agency. That’s also why places can sell out quickly. If your date is full, check nearby dates or contact Club Canary for alternatives.

Garajonay Forest Highlights
Short, easy paths in the laurel forest. This is not a hiking tour. You don’t need special boots or to be a pro hiker. Even ChatGPT would call it an easy walk to explore La Gomera, not a trek.
Roque De Agando Viewpoint
Big rock, big views. Quick photo stop with a clear look at valleys and peaks. Your guide knows the best spot.
Time In San Sebastián De La Gomera
Free time near Torre del Conde and the old streets. Coffee, bakery, small shops. Simple and relaxed.
Why Small Group Is Better
Most La Gomera tours use large buses with almost 50 people. That means long hotel pickups and waiting for the whole group, so there’s less time to explore. Here you travel with max 18 in a flexible minibus. Fewer people, faster logistics, and a guide who talks to you. Yes, it’s a little more expensive, but it’s a different experience. In Club Canary’s opinion, totally worth it.
Where To Eat In La Gomera (Lunch Not Included)
Lunch is not included on purpose. You pick your own restaurant and food. On this page we list local dishes with sample prices so you can plan ahead. La Gomera is not very touristic, so you’ll be surprised how good and affordable meals are compared to a fixed “mass menu” for 50+ people.
Family Friendly, Easy Pace
Great for couples, friends, and families. Short walks only. Clear stories. Plenty of photo chances. Note on child prices: they are close to adult prices because every child still uses one of the 18 seats. For this reason there are usually not many children on this tour.
Simple Pricing And Group Bonus
- Adults 145€: reserve 40€ now, pay 105€ on the day.
- Children 3–11 130€: reserve 30€, pay 100€ on the day.

Honest Advice Before You Book
Many blogs and agencies say “you must do a La Gomera trip.” We don’t fully agree. Tenerife is amazing and there’s a lot to see here first. If you are new to Tenerife, consider top options like Teide Tärade Vaatlemine, or an small group island tour with Teide and Masca. These can be cheaper because there is no ferry cost.
A standard big-bus La Gomera tour? We’d say no. This exclusive small group version? Yes, it’s fun and high quality, especially if you’ve already explored Tenerife or you’re a returning guest who wants a second island.
