Snorkeling in Tenerife… with a big chance of turtles

This boat snorkel trip is perfect for families, couples, and anyone who loves the ocean. We head to reefs where turtles often come to feed. Nature is nature, so sightings aren’t guaranteed, but there’s roughly a 50% chance, and even without turtles, the snorkel itself is fun.

Enjoy a real Tenerife snorkeling by boat experience with small groups and a relaxed local vibe. This is a genuine ocean trip, not a theme park attraction. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to decide if this tour fits you.

Tidsplan og mødested:
• Departure around 13:30 (please arrive earlier as instructed).
• Main departure from Puerto Colón, Costa Adeje (meeting at the diving school).

Transport og muligheder:
You can come directly to the diving centre, or add hotel pick-up and drop-off from South Tenerife for an extra fee. If you stay in an Airbnb or private accommodation, please enter the nearest hotel name instead of a private address (we don’t collect from normal street addresses).

Gruppestørrelse:
This snorkeling tour is run in small groups so the crew can keep a good overview of everyone. If you need personal guidance or extra attention, a private snorkeling trip is a better choice.

Wildlife Reality Check:
Turtles are wild animals. Sightings are common but never guaranteed. This is the Atlantic Ocean, not the Red Sea. Reefs here are natural and simple, not colourful coral gardens. In winter months, the water can feel colder and turtles may be less active. Please book with realistic expectations.

Practical Notes:
• You may walk barefoot for a short distance between the meeting point, diving centre, and boat
• Showers are available after the trip when departing from Puerto Colón (when departing from other locations, showers may not be available)
• Personal belongings can normally be left safely with reception in a separate room (still, avoid valuables)

Sprog:
Tours are usually guided in English and Spanish. Other languages may be available depending on the group.

Ticket & Booking:
• Please bring your Club Canary ticket (digital or printed)
• Minimum age: 8 years (under 16 with parental permission)
• Pregnant guests may join as spectators, but snorkeling is not advised

Deposit & Politik:
Book with a small deposit and pay the rest on the day.
Deposits do not cover late cancellations or no-shows. Please review the snorkeling tour policy before booking.

Deposit & betaling

• You book your snorkeling with turtles in Tenerife with a small deposit through Club Canary.
• The remaining balance is paid on the day of the tour, usually directly to the diving school or guide.
• The deposit secures your spot but does ikke dække sene aflysninger eller udeblivelser.

Afbestillingsregler

• Standard bookings (1–3 people): gratis afbestilling op til 24 timer før afgang.
• Group bookings (4+ people): gratis afbestilling op til 24 timer før afgang.
• Private snorkeling trips: gratis afbestilling op til 72 timer før afgang.
• Sene aflysninger:12–24 hours (standard) or 12–48 hours (groups): 50% of the amount due on arrival. 12–72 hours (private): 50% of the amount due on arrival.
• No-shows or same-day cancellations: charged 100% of the amount due on arrival (private trips: 85%).
• If you fall ill last minute, contact us immediately. We always try to help, but refunds are not guaranteed.

Group Tours & Personal Ability

• This is a group snorkeling tour. The guide supervises the group but does not provide one-on-one instruction.
• You should be a confident swimmer and comfortable in open sea conditions.
• You may need to walk a short distance barefoot between the meeting point, diving centre, and boat.
• If you need extra attention, personal guidance, or feel unsure in the ocean, we recommend booking a private snorkel trip.

Responsibility & Health

• Always follow staff instructions and respect safety rules.
• If you have medical conditions, injuries, or your doctor would not recommend snorkeling, you should not participate.
• The operator and Club Canary are not responsible for issues caused by ignoring medical advice or safety guidance.

Departure Locations

• Most tours depart from Puerto Colón (Costa Adeje), where showers are usually available after the trip.
• In busy periods, especially summer or last-minute bookings, departure may switch to Las Galletas, but we will first ask if you agree with this.
• If Puerto Colón is full, you will be offered the choice to switch location or move to another day, subject to availability.
• Las Galletas departures may not offer shower facilities.
