Which Segway Tour In Fuerteventura? All Four Compared

Fuerteventura Segway Tour Jandia, The Daily One
The Jandía tour is the one most people should book, and it is worth explaining why properly. It runs every day at 13:30, takes 1.5 hours, costs 56€, and it welcomes people who have never stood on a Segway before.
The route follows the Jandía sports promenade, out along the dunes and up to the cliffs above Morro Jable beach. Flat, scenic, and exactly the right setting to learn on. Your guide explains the landmarks and a bit of Canarian culture along the way, with proper stops for photos rather than a race from A to B.
Why the afternoon start helps. A 13:30 departure means you keep your morning, and it works around a late breakfast or a lie-in.
Why 1.5 hours is the right length. Long enough to see the coast properly, short enough that you are not aching. Segways are easy but standing still takes more concentration than people expect.
Do You Need A Licence For A Segway In Fuerteventura?
Straight answer, because this trips people up. You do not need a driving licence to ride a Segway on these tours. The minimum age is 8, and no eight-year-old holds a licence, so it cannot be a requirement.
⚠️ Bring photo ID anyway. The Segway company asks riders to identify themselves before the tour, so bring your driving licence, passport or ID card, whichever you have. It is for the operator's records and the insurance, not because you need to be a qualified driver. Turn up with nothing and you may not be allowed to ride.
No experience is needed on the South Coast or North Coast tours either. Safety training is mandatory and included in the tour time, so you learn how the Segway works and how to control it before you go anywhere. Most people have it figured out within a few minutes.
Segway Tours Fuerteventura For Families, From 8 Years
Children can ride from 8 years old, which makes this one of the few motorised activities on the island that genuinely works for a younger family. Everybody gets their own machine, because each Segway carries one rider, so nobody is sitting on the back getting bored.
With kids, take the South Coast tour. Flat promenade, 1.5 hours, daily, and beginner friendly.

Cancellation And Changes
- You may cancel or reschedule for free up to 48 hours in advance. Send your request by email to office@clubcanary.com.
- If you do not cancel in time, or you are not on time on the day of the tour, there is no refund.

- Segway tours need suitable weather. If a tour is cancelled because of hazardous conditions, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
Safety, Age And Requirements
- Minimum age 8 years. No driving licence is needed, but riders should bring photo ID for the operator.
- Safety training before the tour is mandatory and forms part of the tour duration.
- The West Coast and Island tours require previous Segway experience. The guides make the final call on the day.
- Segway tours are not recommended during pregnancy.
Conduct
- Anyone arriving under the influence of alcohol, or behaving in a way that puts others at risk, is turned away without a refund.
- Please follow the guide's instructions throughout. A Segway is easy to ride and easy to fall off if you ignore the briefing.

Real talk: there are four Segway tours here and most people overthink it. If you have never ridden one, book the South Coast tour at 56€. An hour and a half, daily at 13:30, along the Jandía promenade and the dunes, and beginners are genuinely welcome. That is the one that suits nine out of ten people who land on this page.
The West Coast and Island tours are properly good, but they are for experienced riders and the guides will not bend on that. If you have never stood on a Segway, do not book them and expect to be waved through.
Two practical things. Three of the four tours run only twice a week, so check the days before you plan around one. And each Segway takes one rider, so a couple books two and a family of four books four. It is not a per-vehicle price like our buggies.
