Is the whole boat private?
Yes. The Karolka is a private charter, so only your group is on board. Nobody else joins. The yacht takes up to 8 guests.
Do I need sailing experience or a licence?
No. A captain and crew run the boat the whole time. If you want to help sail and hoist the sails, the skipper will show you. If you just want to relax, that is fine too.
How long is the trip?
You choose between 3 or 5 hours, both fully private. The 3 hour trip is a shorter sail with a swim and snorkel stop. The 5 hour trip gives more time to relax and a better chance of spotting marine life.
What is included?
Lunch, unlimited drinks (soft drinks, beer, wine and water), snorkel gear, paddle boards, a captain and crew, fuel, and free hotel pickup from the south. Basically, turn up and enjoy the day.
Will we see dolphins or whales?
There is a good chance on longer trips, over 70% on the water off this coast, but it is never guaranteed. It is not the main goal of the trip, and the crew keeps a respectful distance when marine life appears.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes, free pickup and drop-off from the south of Gran Canaria when booked in time, from Bahía Feliz through to Puerto de Mogán. Full times are in the Info tab. If you are outside the south, you meet the boat at Puerto de Mogán.
Can kids and infants come?
Yes. All ages are welcome on a private charter. Infants sit on laps and infant seats are available on request. Just let us know your group when you book.
Where does the charter depart?
From Puerto de Mogán, on the south west coast of Gran Canaria. If you make your own way, arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. The Google Maps link is sent with your booking confirmation.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
No, the yacht is not wheelchair accessible. If you have mobility needs, message us before booking and we will be honest about what is possible.

You pay a deposit online to hold your date. The rest is paid on the day.

This trip relies on good weather. If conditions force a cancellation, you are offered an alternative date or a full refund. Only the captain decides this, not the client.

How much you get back depends on how far ahead you cancel. Requests go to office@clubcanary.com.
Cancel more than 48 hours before the start time and you get a full refund.
Cancel between 48 and 24 hours before and you get 50% back.
Cancel less than 24 hours before the start time and there is no refund.
Cancel less than 2 hours before, or do not show up, and the full trip amount is charged.
The deadline is counted from your set start time. For a genuine emergency, message us as soon as you can and we will do our best to help.
Ending Early Or Illness
Refunds are not given if you choose to end the trip early or if you fall ill during the charter.
Marine Life
Encounters with dolphins or whales are possible but not the goal of the trip, and sightings are not guaranteed. The crew keeps a respectful distance so as not to disturb the animals.

Any concerns are handled directly with the crew, since Club Canary staff are not on board. Once you have boarded, refunds cannot be assessed without the captain's agreement.
