The pickup tour has group discounts from 4 guests. From 8 people, compare the private night, it is often closer in price than you expect.
Travelling with kids
All three welcome children from age 5. Pickup is the easiest with booster seats, self-drive lets you head home when small eyes get tired.
Where You Actually Go
Stargazing in Gran Canaria happens in the central summit around Tejeda, the Cumbre. This is what makes it special, not just the telescopes.
Viršūnė
Above the sea of clouds
The trade winds push a blanket of cloud onto the north of the island. The Cumbre rises above it, close to 1,900 meters at Pico de las Nieves. Up here the cloud works for you: it hides the coastal lights and leaves a black sky.
Apžvalga
Degollada de la Becerra
A mirador near Tejeda facing Roque Bentayga and Roque Nublo, with its own night-sky information panel. It is the meeting point for the self-drive tour, and the guided tours use dark spots in the same summit area.
The Neighbour
Teide on the horizon
The sunset stop faces west across the water. On clear evenings Mount Teide on Tenerife sits on the horizon while the sun drops behind the clouds. Two islands, one sunset.
The Certificate
A Starlight summit
The summit of Gran Canaria holds official Starlight certification from the Starlight Foundation for the quality and protection of its night sky. Real astronomy-grade darkness, less than an hour from the beach.
The Heritage
Risco Caído and the sacred mountains
A UNESCO World Heritage landscape since 2019. In a cave near Artenara the ancient Canarii read the sun and the moon through an opening in the rock, a calendar carved centuries before telescopes. You are stargazing where islanders always did.
Dangus
Planets, clusters, Andromeda
Through the telescopes the guides show the Moon in detail, planets, star clusters, nebulae and, on good nights, the Andromeda galaxy. The Milky Way often shows with the naked eye. The sky decides the programme, and the guide reads it.

Staying In Las Palmas Or The North?
The shared stargazing tour collects in the south only, between Puerto de Mogán and Bahía Feliz: Puerto Rico, Amadores, Arguineguín, Meloneras, Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés and San Agustín. If you sleep in Las Palmas, Agaete or anywhere up north, these are your real options, honestly ranked:
1. Rental car: knyga savarankiškas žvaigždžių stebėjimas. The Degollada de la Becerra viewpoint sits in the centre of the island, roughly an hour from Las Palmas, so the north is no further away than the south.
2. No car, special night: the privatus žvaigždžių stebėjimo turas can often collect you in Las Palmas, Arucas, Gáldar or Agaete. The guide is based near Puerto de Mogán, so a fair extra fee applies for the distance. We confirm it before you pay.
3. No car, normal budget: take the bus or a taxi to a southern pickup point such as Maspalomas or Playa del Inglés and join the ekskursija su paėmimu from there. Tell us and we set the meeting point.

Stargazing Gran Canaria On Your Own
Yes, you can go stargazing in Gran Canaria without a tour, and on a clear new-moon night the summit is unforgettable. Just respect the mountain, it is not the beach:
If that list sounds like homework on your holiday, that is exactly what the guided tours solve: telescopes, a guide who knows the sky, a warm setup, and zero planning.
When To Go Stargazing In Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria is a year-round stargazing island. Two things shape your night more than the month: the moon and the clouds.
Mėnulio fazė lenkia mėnesį. Around new moon the sky is darkest and the Milky Way shows clearest. Around full moon you see fewer faint stars, but Roque Nublo under moonlight is a show of its own.
The cloud is your friend. The sea of clouds on the north slopes blocks the city lights of Las Palmas. When the coast is grey, the summit is often the clearest place on the island.
Dress for 1,800 meters. Maspalomas can be 24 degrees while the summit sits near 10 after dark, and lower in winter. Warm jacket, long trousers, closed shoes. Some tours carry spare coats, never count on it.
Jokia ekskursija nevaldo oro. Jei dangus užsivers, mūsų ekskursijos bus perkeltos arba grąžinsime pinigus. Kiekvienas, žadantis žvaigždes kiekvieną naktį, parduoda pasakas.

Gran Canaria Stargazing, Frequently Asked Questions
The real questions our guests ask before booking a night in the Cumbre. Still unsure? Message the Club Canary local team on "WhatsApp", atsakome greitai iki 22:00 val.
Yes. All three Club Canary stargazing tours welcome children from age 5. The tour with hotel pickup is the easiest option for families, with booster seats on request. The self-drive tour lets you head home the moment small eyes get tired. On the private tour the guide adapts the pace and the explanations to your own children. Dress them warm, the mountain gets cold.
Is a private stargazing tour in Gran Canaria worth it?
If you want privacy, flexibility or a special moment, yes. The privatus žvaigždžių stebėjimo turas means your own guide, your own telescopes and your own van, with hotel pickup that is far more flexible across the island. It is the choice for proposals, anniversaries and families who want the night to themselves. The honest advice from Club Canary: book it well ahead, because a private night only exists when the guide is completely free.
Can I see Mount Teide from the Gran Canaria stargazing tours?
Often, yes. The sunset stop faces west across the water, and on clear evenings Mount Teide on Tenerife sits on the horizon while the sun drops behind the sea of clouds. It is one of the favourite photo moments of the evening, two islands in one sunset, before the telescopes come out.
What happens if the weather is bad on my stargazing night?
Mountain weather changes fast and no tour can promise a clear sky. The guide checks conditions before every tour and makes the call. If the night is cancelled because of weather, you reschedule to another date or receive a full refund. The Club Canary local team is on WhatsApp every day from 08:00 to 22:00 to help you replan.
Nuoširdi „Club Canary“ Nuomonė
Gran Canaria is famous for its beaches and its dunes. Its best-kept secret is what happens an hour uphill after dark. The Cumbre is a certified Starlight sky, and most visitors never see it.
No car, staying south: take the small-group tour with pickup. Got wheels: self-drive and save. Big occasion or sleeping up north: go private and let the guide come to you. Whatever you pick, the sunset above the clouds comes free with all three.
