World's Best Zoo
Loro Parque was voted the best zoo in the world on Tripadvisor in 2017, 2018 and 2020. It was also named Europe's best in 2014 and 2015. Few parks anywhere come close.
Real Conservation Work
This is more than a day out. The park has helped save 18 species from extinction and given over 30 million dollars to conservation. It holds the highest Humane Conservation rating for animal welfare.
50 Years And 400 Species
Open since 1972, Loro Parque now cares for over 400 species across one huge tropical site. Around 3.5 million people visited in 2025. Plan a full day, you will not rush it.
Animal Welfare First
The park follows the Five Freedoms of animal welfare. You will see orcas, dolphins, gorillas, white tigers and penguins in large, modern habitats. Morgan the orca lives here, with her calf Teno born at the park.

Is Loro Parque worth it? For most visitors, yes. It is the best zoo in the world, with orcas, dolphins, gorillas, white tigers and King penguins, plus real conservation behind it. The only catch is the location. It sits up north in Puerto de la Cruz, far from the southern resorts. If you stay in the south, the smart move is a ticket with transport included, so the long drive is never an issue. Give it a full day and it is easily worth it.

The #1 Visitor Mistake
Most websites won't tell you this. Loro Parque is hard to reach from the south. It sits in Puerto de la Cruz in the north. Most tourists stay around Costa Adeje, Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos, over an hour away by car on busy roads with limited parking. Before you book, it is worth knowing if the trip suits your plans.

Playa Las Americas

The Easy Way
Skip the stress. Our round trip bus picks you up in the south and brings you back. No driving, no parking, no map reading. Staying in Puerto de la Cruz? The free yellow Loro Parque Express train runs from Plaza de los Reyes Catolicos every 20 minutes.
Packages That Make It Easy
This is why most of our Loro Parque options include bus service, the part people struggle with. We also build full packages: a cruise port pickup from Santa Cruz for ship passengers, a twin ticket with Siam Park plus bus, and a Loro Parque with whale watching combo by boat and bus. Less planning, less stress, more day at the park.
If You Drive
Parking at the park costs about 7€ per day. Set off early to beat the traffic and find a spot near the entrance.
For most visitors, yes. It is rated the best zoo in the world, with orcas, dolphins, gorillas, white tigers and penguins. One honest tip from us: in high season and school holidays it can get busy and a little uncomfortable in the crowds. Off season it is really relaxed and makes a perfect day. Either way, give it a full day and it is worth it.
Most people buy online, and you can buy direct or through a local operator like us. The price is the same, but booking with Club Canary gives you easy personal contact, especially for transport, where we confirm your pickup place and time for you. If you want it all sorted with real service, we are a no brainer.
It comes down to budget and your trip. If you can treat yourself, the all inclusive ticket is the more luxury choice, with a guided tour, reserved show seats and food and drinks included. If you want to keep it simple, the standard ticket is great. Staying in the south? Add transport so the drive is sorted.
The easiest and most relaxed way is our round trip bus from the south. Driving yourself is honestly not that chill, the traffic can get annoying and you can get stuck. With the bus you just sit back and enjoy the day.
If you drive, always use the TF1 highway. Google Maps often sends you through Masca because it looks shorter, but those are narrow mountain roads, often in the clouds, slow and tiring. Never take the Masca road on the way back, it has no lights and gets dangerous in the dark. If you really want the scenic Masca drive, do it on the way there while it is light, then take the highway home.
Yes, very. At Club Canary we use a private bus company with comfortable coaches, not a public bus that stops everywhere. It is a smooth, direct round trip from the south, so you relax on the way, skip the parking stress, and spend more time at the park and less time travelling.
Yes. Our round trip bus picks up across the main southern resorts, including Costa Adeje, Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. You can book the bus alone or together with your ticket.
Loro Parque is in Puerto de la Cruz in the north. From the southern resorts it is about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes by car on the TF1 highway, longer if you take the mountain roads.

Plan for a full day, around 5 hours. With over 400 species, four shows and several walk-through habitats, you will not want to rush it.
With Club Canary, your ticket is valid for a one day visit within a 90 day window. You choose a date when you book, but you are not locked to it, you can go any day from that date within the 90 days. With the twin ticket, you visit one park first, then have 90 days to visit the other. So book now and decide your exact day later.
When you book your tickets and transport with Club Canary, you get free cancellation. It keeps your plans flexible, which is one of the easy perks of booking through a local team.

Assistance and guide dogs can usually be accommodated, but as this is a zoo with sensitive animals, it is best to arrange it in advance. Message our local team on WhatsApp before you book and we will confirm the latest rules so your visit goes smoothly.
Loro Parque has several restaurants, cafes and snack bars across the park, so you will not go hungry. Rules on bringing your own food can change, so if you want to bring something or need a picnic spot, ask our team and we will check the current policy for you.
Loro Parque asks visitors not to smoke near the animals or inside exhibits. Any smoking is limited to designated outdoor areas, which are marked around the park. If this matters for your visit, ask our team and we will confirm the current spots.

Each one is bespoke, so it is not on the website yet, just reach out. See our team building page at clubcanary.com/team-building or message us.
