We are not going to promise turtles here. Turtle sightings on this stretch of coast are not common, and it would not be honest to pretend otherwise. This is a snorkeling boat trip for the swim, the cove and the food, with good fish life along the way, not a wildlife guarantee.
Where You Snorkel, El Perchel Cove
Your snorkel stop is El Perchel, a calm, clear cove on the south west coast of Gran Canaria that you can only reach by sea. Because it is boat-access only, it stays quiet and the water is clear, which makes it one of the easier, nicer spots to snorkel near Puerto de Mogán. You can expect good fish life, shoals of small fish, wrasses and the odd surprise, all from the surface with your gear on. The exact spot can change with the sea and weather, and the crew always pick the safest, clearest option on the day.

Times, Meeting Point & What To Bring
- Departures are at 10:00 in the morning all year round. In Juli och augusti times change to 09:15 and 12:45. Pick your date in the booking calendar and the time is confirmed on your booking.
- Puerto de Mogán harbour. Arrive 10 minutes before departure. Öppna i Google Maps. There is no hotel pickup.
- På Fridays it is market day in Puerto de Mogán, so parking can be harder. Leave extra time.
- You must be able to simma to get in the water. Children must stay with an adult at all times.
- Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, comfortable clothes, your Club Canary booking confirmation, and a light jacket if you feel the breeze.
- Great for families, couples, solo travellers and beginners. Not ideal for guests who find it hard to move around a boat.

This is a proper, relaxed snorkeling boat trip with a real local crew who have run it for years. You get to a cove you cannot reach any other way, the gear is sorted for all ages, and the food and drinks on the way back are genuinely good, Canarian potatoes, tortilla and homemade sangria, not a sad packet of crisps.
We are not going to promise turtles or guarantee wildlife, because that would not be honest. What we can promise is a good snorkel, a lovely cove and a well-fed afternoon. Just remember there is ingen hotellhämtning and you need to be able to swim. If those are fine, this is a lovely half day out.
For an easy, honest snorkel with good food and a quiet cove, this one is hard to beat.
