Your First Scuba Dive In Lanzarote, Made Easy
You do not need any diving background to join. A professional instructor gives you a clear safety briefing, helps you into the equipment, and stays with you the whole time. You start in shallow, calm water to get used to breathing through the regulator, then explore gently at a safe, beginner depth. It is relaxed, closely supervised, and designed so that first-timers feel safe and comfortable.

- Deposit 23€ per person, balance 92€ on the day.

How Your First Dive Works

Meet at the dive centre in Costa Teguise, or use the included pickup from a selected area.

Your instructor explains the basics, fits your gear and answers your questions. No experience needed.
- 3Get Comfortable In Shallow Water
You practise breathing underwater in calm, shallow water until you feel ready.
- 4Your Guided Dive
Explore gently at a safe beginner depth, with the instructor beside you the whole time.
- 5Back To Shore
Return to the surface, dry off, and head back happy. Two-dive guests repeat for a second dive.
Safety & Medical (Please Read)
- Every participant completes a short medical questionnaire before diving. Some medical conditions require a doctor's clearance.
- There is a minimum age set by the dive centre, and under-18s need parental or guardian consent. Please confirm your group's ages when booking.
- The instructor gives the final approval to dive and decides the safe depth and duration based on you, the conditions and operator rules.
- You should feel generally well and not dive under the influence of alcohol. If unsure about fitness to dive, ask your doctor first.

Yes. The one-dive option is designed as an introduction for first-time divers, with a safety briefing, full equipment and direct guidance from a professional instructor. Final participation depends on the medical questionnaire and the instructor's approval.
Do I need a diving licence or certification for Lanzarote diving?
No certification is required for the one-dive and two-dive beginner experiences. You simply complete a short medical questionnaire and follow your instructor's guidance.
What is the difference between one dive and two dives?
The one-dive option is 75€ per person and takes around two hours in total. The two-dive option is 115€ per person and takes around 5.5 hours, giving you more time underwater, which suits guests for whom diving is the main activity of the day.
How deep will I go on my first dive in Lanzarote?
The beginner dive stays shallow, current information gives a maximum of around four metres. The instructor always sets the safe depth based on you, the conditions and the operator's rules.
Is hotel pickup included for Lanzarote diving?
Selected hotel pickup and drop-off are included. Times depend on your area and whether you book one or two dives, and Playa Blanca currently needs at least two participants. Your exact pickup point and time are confirmed after booking.
What should I bring for scuba diving in Lanzarote?
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, your Club Canary ticket and the balance payment. The diving equipment is provided. Also bring any medical documents the dive centre requests.
What if I feel nervous underwater?
Feeling nervous on a first dive is completely normal. The instructor introduces everything step by step and can keep you in shallow water until you are comfortable. If you choose to stop after the activity begins, refunds follow the confirmed operator policy.
What marine life can I see diving in Lanzarote?
You may see local Atlantic fish such as salema and other sea life, but sightings are never guaranteed and depend on the day and conditions.
