How The Guided Self-Drive Works
You drive your own Jeep while following a local guide, who leads the route in a separate vehicle. The group stops at selected viewpoints and interesting places where the guide shares information about the volcanic landscape and the local area, keeps a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and gives you time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Up to four self-drive Jeeps follow the guide Jeep, so you get the fun of driving while always staying on the right route.
Guided, not alone: the guide leads in a separate vehicle, explains the volcanic landscape and gives you time to take photos. Photos the team takes are not included in the price.
A basic refreshment, such as water or iced tea, is normally provided during the tour. There is no meal and no snack included, so you are welcome to bring your own. The team may take photos during the experience, these are not included in the ticket price and may be available to buy separately afterwards.
The Routes That Show The Real Tenerife

The Coastal Jeep Tour starts in Costa Adeje, where you meet the team and begin a self-drive Jeep tour along scenic coastal roads. The route climbs toward Chío via the old road, with panoramic views and a calm drive away from busy traffic.
From Chío it descends toward Los Gigantes on a rural route, passing traditional landscapes and quieter areas. A stop is made at a newly opened viewpoint with views over the cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean.
The tour visits the old fishing harbour of El Balito, where you have time to relax and, weather permitting, enjoy a swim, before returning to Costa Adeje. A basic refreshment is included, food and snacks are not.
The Teide Jeep Tour starts in Costa Adeje and heads toward Chío before climbing into Teide National Park. The drive passes through volcanic landscapes as the altitude rises, one of the most scenic Teide jeep self-drive routes on the island.
A main stop is made at Roque de García to explore the rock formations, plus a visit to a traditional Guanche cave at around 1,700 metres above sea level.
The Teide Sunset Jeep Tour follows the same route with a different mood: changing colours and views above the clouds as the sun sets. A basic refreshment is included on both, food and snacks are not.

The route follows normal public roads and scenic mountain or coastal roads. Some stops are beside volcanic terrain or rugged viewpoints, but the Jeeps are not driven off-road.

No. This is a scenic self-drive Jeep convoy on normal roads. The route follows public roads and scenic mountain or coastal roads. Some stops are beside rocky or volcanic landscapes, but the Jeeps are not driven off-road.
How many people fit in one Jeep?
Each self-drive Jeep carries a maximum of 4 guests. Travelling with 5 or more? Please contact Club Canary before booking. Depending on availability, one extra guest may be able to ride in the guide Jeep for an extra charge, this is not automatic and must be confirmed in advance.
What time does the tour start and finish?
There are two departures a day. Morning: meeting at 09:30, departure at 10:00, back around 13:30 to 14:00. Afternoon: meeting at 14:30, departure at 15:00, back around 19:00 to 19:30. Please arrive 30 minutes before departure. The experience starts from the meeting point.

What are the driver requirements?
Drivers must be at least 21 years old with a valid licence held for at least 2 years. All Jeeps are manual transmission. Children from 2 years old are welcome, and child seats are available.
How much does it cost?
The price is 260€ per Jeep for up to 4 people. A deposit confirms your booking, and the remaining balance is paid on the day, directly to the operator.

- The deposit secures vehicles, guides and route planning, and is non-refundable for late cancellations or no-shows.
Cancellation & No-Show
- Gratis afbestilling op til 48 timer før starttidspunktet.
- Cancellations less than 48 timer before, down to 6 hours, lose the deposit.
- Cancellations less than 6 timer before, or no-shows, lose the deposit plus a penalty, as vehicles and guides are already allocated.
- No refund for late arrivals or no-shows.

- Bookings of more than 3 Jeeps are treated as group reservations.
- For group bookings, cancellation penalties are doubled, as multiple vehicles and guides are reserved.
- Group terms apply whether Jeeps are booked under one or several names.

- Drivers must hold a valid full licence for at least 2 år and be at least 21.
- Alcohol, drugs or unsafe behaviour are not allowed on any tour.
- Not following the guide's instructions may result in removal without refund.

- Tours may be modified or rescheduled due to unsafe weather or road conditions.
- If the operator cancels, you may choose a new date or a full refund.
- Discomfort from normal weather (heat, cold, wind, dust) is not refundable if the tour runs safely.
The Teide Sunset route can offer views like this. Sunsets vary with weather and visibility, so an identical view is not guaranteed.
