📜 You need a Titulín or a full boat license. You can drive these boats with a Spanish Titulín or a full boat license, and the driver must be 18 or over and completely sober. This page is for a specific type of customer: you hold a suitable, accepted boat license, you want to drive a faster motorboat yourself, and you are happy that there is no captain on board. If that is you, it is a fun, independent way to explore the coast from Puerto Colón, at your own pace.

If that is not quite you, that is worth knowing before you book. Most private boats in Tenerife run with a professional captain, which is normally easier and more relaxing, and many captained Club Canary trips can include or arrange food and drinks. The Two Boats

Two motorboats are available, both for up to 8 guests. Fuel is paid separately on both.

Nautipol, 6.5m

115 HP Suzuki engine, up to 8 külalist.

Both boats are 6.5m for up to 8, carry 8 life jackets including kids sizes, and have fuel paid separately. Bring your own food, drinks and ice, and remember the driver must hold a Titulín or a full license and stay sober.

Price & Fuel

Both boats are the same price for the trip. You pay a deposiit internetis to book and the balance on arrivalja fuel is separate, not included.

Fuel is not included. You pay for the fuel you use in addition to the trip price, and the team explains this on the day. Canary Island residents get 5€ off per booking, just message us with your ID for a code.

Self-Drive Boat Information

License & Driver

The driver must be 18 or over, sober, and hold a Titulín or a full boat license. Bring the physical license and a valid ID or passport. Have a foreign license and unsure it qualifies? Send us a photo before booking and we will check with the operator.

Bring your Club Canary confirmation, your license and IDja sularaha for the balance on arrival (cash is preferred for a faster check-in). Pack swimwear, a towel and sunscreen, plus your own food, drinks and ice for the cooler.

On Board & Safety

Snorkel gear, a cooler and shade are provided, along with life vests, use them if you are not a strong swimmer. If you are prone to seasickness, take a tablet about 30 minutes before departure.

Where do the boats leave from?

All boats depart from Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time with your license and ID, and your Club Canary confirmation gives the exact meeting details.

Trips depend on safe weather. If the operator cancels for unsafe conditions, you get a new date or a full refund.

Between 2 ja 4 päeva before: 25% of the deposit is refunded.

Arriving late reduces your boat time by the minutes you are late.

The person driving must not drink alcohol. Any fines for breaking this rule are the guest's responsibility.
No refund is given for seasickness if you end the trip early.
Do not approach or swim near whales or dolphins. Any coast guard fines for disturbing wildlife are the guest's responsibility.

Booking implies you have read and agreed to these policies and our terms. Club Canary is an official ticket seller, the boat is run by its licensed operator.

We will be honest, because it saves you hassle. This licensed self-drive option is brilliant for the right person: you hold a boat license, you actually enjoy driving, and you want no captain telling you where to go. The Nautipol and Mingolla are proper motorboats, and having the whole coast to yourself is a lot of fun.

But for most people, it is not the easy option. You need to send a license photo, fuel is extra, the driver cannot drink, and you are responsible on the water. If you just want a relaxed day out, a private boat trip with a captain is usually better: no license, drinks and food sorted, and you get properly looked after. And if you want to drive but have no license, go for the no-license boat instead.

Perfect if you have a license and want to drive. If not, a captained trip is the easier, more relaxing pick.
