About Dolphin Sightings & The Club Canary Guarantee
This dolphin watching tour in Fuerteventura gives you a great chance to see dolphins, but they are wild animals, so sightings can never be 100% guaranteed unless you book the optional Dolphin Guarantee.
How the Guarantee Works:
- The Dolphin Guarantee costs 15€ per person
- If no dolphins or whales are seen, you’ll get a refund of your ticket price (the 15€ guarantee fee per person is not refunded)
- A sighting counts if dolphins or whales are seen within 30 meters, even if it’s just a fin
- If the trip is cut short or the route changes due to bad weather or severe seasickness, the guarantee does not apply, but the 15€ will be refunded
Claiming a Refund:
- You must inform the captain or crew at the end of the trip that you booked the Dolphin Guarantee with Club Canary
- The WIDACA crew will contact us directly to confirm whether there was a sighting
- All claims must be made the same day, late requests cannot be accepted
We fully trust the WIDACA crew to provide honest reports. If they confirm that no dolphins or whales were seen, we will refund the trip cost (excluding the guarantee fee) without any issues.
Important: Guarantee Limitations
Club Canary has the right to cancel, refund, or decline the Dolphin Guarantee up to 12 hours before the trip if:
- Bad weather is forecasted
- A calima or sandstorm is expected, reducing visibility
- Any unusual conditions arise that may affect the experience
In these cases, you will be notified in advance and your 15€ guarantee fee will be refunded if the upgrade was already paid.
Dolphin Watching Fuerteventura – Small Group, Big Experience
Looking for the best dolphin trip in Morro Jable? This boat tour is hands down the top choice for dolphin watching in Fuerteventura. Why? Because unlike other boats that take 40+ people in the summer, this one is small and personal, with only 12 guests max per trip. That means no crowds, just pure magic. You’ll go on a 1.5-hour adventure with a skilled local captain who spots dolphins on 7 out of 10 trips. That’s a 70% chance to see dolphins swimming freely in Fuerteventura’s clear blue waters. Is seeing dolphins super important to you? Then we’ve got good news! You can add Club Canary’s exclusive dolphin guarantee to your booking, so you don’t take any risks.
Morro Jable Dolphin Guarantee – Only at Club Canary
Club Canary is the only tour company in Fuerteventura that offers a Dolphin Guarantee on selected trips from Morro Jable. For 15€ extra per person, you can add this option and get a 100% guarantee to see dolphins or whales. The trip is mainly about dolphin watching, but if you see whales instead (or the other way around), it also counts. If you don’t see dolphins or whales at all, we’ll refund the full trip price (except the 15€ for the guarantee).
Trip Duration & Dolphin Guarantee
The trip normally lasts about 1.5 hours. Sometimes, if the weather is nice, the group is having a good time, and there isn’t another group waiting for the boat, the captain might stay out a bit longer, not as part of the plan, just because he wants everyone to be happy. Please note: if you see dolphins or whales at any moment, even at the very end of the trip, it still counts as having seen them.
Why This Dolphin Watching Tour is Different
Most dolphin boat tours in Fuerteventura are crowded, and some boats don’t even leave from Morro Jable. This trip leaves right from the port and stays in the top dolphin zone. It’s calm, relaxed, and ideal for families, couples, or anyone looking for the best dolphin watching experience in a small group setting.
Swimming With Dolphins In Fuerteventura: Is It Possible?
Swimming with dolphins in Fuerteventura is not possible due to several reasons. First and foremost, it’s crucial to safeguard the wildlife and their natural environments, as human interactions can disrupt their natural behaviors and rhythms. Additionally, there are safety concerns associated with dolphins being wild animals, known for their unpredictability. Furthermore, conservation efforts to protect marine life are actively underway, making it incompatible with the idea of swimming with dolphins. Ethical considerations, particularly regarding the welfare of captive animals, also discourage such activities. Instead, visitors can opt for responsible dolphin watching excursions, providing an opportunity to admire these remarkable creatures from a respectful distance, ensuring minimal disturbance to their habitat.
