How Parasailing in Gran Canaria Really Works
Here is the honest bit, because most sites do not explain it: this is a shared boat activity, not a private charter. You head out from Puerto Rico with a few other small groups, and everyone takes turns flying. The whole trip lasts around 45 perc, and your own time in the air is about 10 minutes on the 150m rope or 12 minutes on the 300m rope.
And that is a good thing. You are on the water far longer than the flight itself, the boat ride is part of the fun, and you get to watch your friends fly and cheer them on. Take off and landing happen gently right on the boat, so most people stay completely dry.

Parasailing or Paragliding, What's the Difference?
People often mix these up. Parasailing (also called parascending), which is this activity, means being towed behind a boat over the sea under a parachute, with take off and landing on the boat. Times, Ages, What to Bring & Meeting Point
- Every day at 9:30, 14:15 and 14:45. Times can shift a little with the weather and sea.
- You share the boat with a few small groups and take turns flying. The whole trip is around 45 perc, with about 10 minutes in the air on the 150m rope or 12 minutes on the 300m rope.

What if the weather is bad, or I need to cancel my parasailing?
With Club Canary you only ever risk the small deposit, never the full amount, if your plans change. If parasailing cannot run because of unsafe weather or sea conditions, you are offered a new date or a full refund. Your safety always comes first.
