Two Things To Know Before You Book
Neither of these is a reason not to book. Both are reasons to book with your eyes open.
⚠️ The lesson needs a minimum of 2 participants. If you are booking solo and nobody else joins that day, the lesson cannot run. You are then offered another date, a different activity, or a full refund, so you never lose money. But if you are travelling alone and your dates are tight, message us first and we will check what the day looks like before you commit.
Extra lessons and gear rental go through the school, not us. If you love it and want another session or a board for the week, the school will happily sort it on the day. Just know that Club Canary cannot support those bookings afterwards, because we do not hold the details. Anything you book through us, we look after.

Meeting Point, Timing And What To Bring

Laiks: lessons typically start around 10:00. The exact meeting time can shift slightly with the tide, and we let you know in advance of any change.

Thank you for booking your surf lesson with Club Canary. These terms keep things fair for you, for the instructors and for the other people in your group. Please have a read before you book.
Atcelšana un izmaiņas
- You may cancel or reschedule for free up to 48 hours in advance. Send your request by email to office@clubcanary.com.
- If you do not cancel in time, or you are not on time on the day of the lesson, there is no refund. Unless the surf school offers you an alternative.
Minimālie skaitļi
- The lesson requires a minimum of 2 participants.
- If it is cancelled because that minimum is not met, you are offered a different date, a different excursion, or a full refund.
Prasības
- To take part you need to master basic swimming techniques and have a reasonable level of fitness.
- Minimum age 8 years, maximum age 70 years. For exceptions, contact us.
- We try to place you in a group of a similar level and age, though we cannot guarantee a perfect match.
Laikapstākļi
- Surfing in Fuerteventura needs suitable conditions. If the lesson is cancelled because of hazardous weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
Stopping Early
- If you feel unwell, or you find surfing frightening or simply not for you and want to stop, we cannot offer a refund.

- Anything about the lesson itself should be raised with the surf school directly. Club Canary staff are not present on the day and cannot judge situations we did not see.
- The school may offer extra lessons or gear rental after your lesson. Those are handled directly by them, so Club Canary customer service cannot support them, as we do not hold the reservation details.

Real talk: 60€ for a surf lesson with the board, the wetsuit, the shoes, the insurance and a lift from your hotel is good value, and the thing that makes it worth booking is small but real. The instructor gets in the water with you. Plenty of schools leave someone on the sand shouting instructions, which is no help at all when a wave is coming and you have no idea what to do with your feet.
Two honest notes. It needs at least two people to run, so if you are travelling solo message us before you plan your day around it, and we will check whether the group is going ahead. And the start time moves with the tide, which sounds annoying but is the reason you get proper waves instead of a flat hour.
Expectations: most people stand up in their first lesson. Nobody leaves surfing like a local. Book it to learn the basics properly and have a laugh doing it, and it delivers exactly that.
Ten euros holds your spot. That is about the cheapest way to find out if you love surfing.
