Press & Media
Where the international press has covered Club Canary, and where Club Canary covers the Canary Islands. News in English, stories, interviews and local insight from a team that actually lives here.
Since 2019, Club Canary has grown from a Costa Adeje office into a curated experience company covering all six Canary Islands. Along the way, international and local media have covered our work. Today we also run our own media team, creating Canary Islands news and stories in English. Every feature below is real and linked to the original source.

Our Canary Islands travel guides are also cited by hotels, tour operators and travel blogs across Europe, from Swedish tipping guides to UK weather coverage referencing our Calima explainer.
There is a strange gap in the Canary Islands. Millions of English-speaking visitors and residents love these islands, but there is almost no English media in the Canary Islands covering what actually happens here. The surprising events, the openings, the strange fish that washes up and makes world news, the artist who suddenly shows up in Tenerife. People who want Canary Islands news in English end up following random excursion pages just to stay updated. We are building the channel they deserve.
Let's be clear about what we are: we are not a newspaper. We are local media with a point of view. We live here, we work with operators on all six islands, and we see the tourism industry from the inside every single day. Our content carries the Club Canary perspective: honest, a bit playful, and always made to genuinely help the person watching or reading. We would rather make you smile and tell you the truth than sound like a press agency.
What's coming in 2026
🎬 Canary Island Stories, our weekly series
Launching summer 2026. A weekly video series about the extraordinary side of the islands: special events, surprise visits, rare nature moments, the Canary Islands stories everyone here talks about but nobody covers in English.
🎙️ The Club Canary Podcast
A Canary Islands podcast with honest, funny conversations with the people who run the islands' experiences. Jet ski crews, stargazing guides, skippers, photographers, talking about what their daily life is really like. Professional, but loose. Coming soon.
✍️ Guides & articles
What we have always done: in-depth travel guides on everything from Calima weather to natural pools. Content already cited by hotels, tour operators and news outlets across Europe.
One thing we don't do: beg for bookings. This is not a sales channel with a camera. The goal is simple. Keep people in love with the Canary Islands, tell the stories worth telling, and let the work speak.
Sarah Murphy
In-House Journalist & Content Creator
Sarah Murphy is Club Canary's in-house journalist and a Canary Islands travel journalist working in English. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Journalism from Dublin City University and focuses on honest, informative, experience-driven travel content across the islands.
Her job is to show people what each place and experience is really like, through storytelling, interviews, on-location reporting and practical advice. Trained journalist, Club Canary point of view, zero influencer fluff.
If something extraordinary is happening in the Canary Islands, we want to cover it. A new restaurant with a real story. A trampoline park, water park or new attraction opening its doors. A festival, a sports event, an artist visit, a hotel launch, a cultural moment worth showing the world. If you are looking for media coverage for your event or opening in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma or La Gomera, this is the team to invite. We attend, film, photograph, interview, and publish, in our style: honest, entertaining, and made to make people fall in love with these islands.
What you get is coverage by local media in English with a real audience of Canary Islands lovers, an established website read across Europe, and content that keeps working long after the event. Our guides and stories get referenced by international press, hotels and travel platforms.
