Self Drive Stargazing Fuerteventura, How It Works
If you have a rental car, this is the option to pick. You meet the group at a clear public meeting point, which is sent to you after booking, and then follow the guide by car to the observation site. Nothing complicated, no navigating in the dark on your own, and you leave whenever you like at the end.
Self-drive is strongly recommended if you are staying in Morro Jable, Costa Calma, Jandía, El Cotillo, Lajares, Majanicho or a remote villa, because pickup does not reach those areas.
⚠️ Two things to know about self-drive: the final observation site cannot be reached on foot, so taxis and walking are not workable. And if you arrive late and miss the convoy leaving the meeting point, joining later may not be possible. Be there on time and the rest is easy.

What Can You See On A Stargazing Tour In Fuerteventura?
Every night is different, because the sky changes with the season and the Moon phase. The guide focuses on what is genuinely worth looking at that evening rather than reading a fixed script. Expect planets, the Moon, constellations and star clusters, and on the better nights deep sky objects like the brighter nebulae and galaxies.
The Milky Way is seasonal, roughly May to October, and it needs a dark Moon to show properly. Shooting stars turn up when they turn up. Nobody can promise those.
What Is The Best Time Of Year For Stargazing In Fuerteventura?
Fuerteventura has clear nights all year, so there is no bad season. What changes the experience most is not the month, it is the Moon. This is the part most tours will not tell you before you pay.
New Moon. The darkest sky and the strongest chance of the Milky Way in season. This is the night to aim for if faint objects matter to you.

The honest caveat: it is weather dependent and Moon dependent. On a cloudy night the location may move or the tour may be cancelled, and on a full Moon the faint objects are simply not there. If you want a guaranteed spectacle regardless of conditions, this is not that. If you want a real dark sky evening with someone who can explain what you are looking at, it is well worth the drive.

- Stargazing depends on clear skies and visibility. Cloud cover, strong wind or poor viewing conditions may require adjustments.
- If conditions are unsuitable, you are offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
- The location may change between the north, west or east coast to improve visibility. This is normal for dark sky tours.
- You are notified by WhatsApp or email if changes are necessary. If you do not hear anything, the tour runs as planned.
