Everywhere else, choose 自驾游. You meet the group at a public meeting point and follow the certified guide by car to the observation site. Same tour, same guide, same telescopes, you just drive yourself.

The tour starts about 日落一小时后, so the clock time moves through the year. There is no exact time at the moment you book, only the date.

ǞǞǞ night before your tour, the guide sends you everything by WhatsApp or email: the confirmed meeting time, the meeting point and what to bring. The time is set from sunset and the sky conditions that evening, so it genuinely is not known earlier, not by the guide and not by Club Canary.

Keep your contact number active the day before and the day of your tour, because that message is the important one and any weather update arrives the same way. If you have heard nothing by the evening before, message Club Canary and we will chase it.

Once you have your time, small adjustments of 10 to 20 minutes are still normal.

Yes, but you need a car. Pickup does not reach the south of the island, so guests in Morro Jable, Costa Calma and Jandía take the self-drive option. The same applies to El Cotillo, Lajares, Majanicho and remote villas.

Self-drive is not a downgrade. You get the identical tour, and you can leave whenever you like at the end rather than waiting for the group.

One thing to know: the observation site cannot be reached on foot, so a taxi or walking is not workable. You need your own vehicle to follow the guide.

It changes every night, because the sky moves with the season and the Moon. Expect planets, the Moon, constellations and star clusters through professional telescopes, plus brighter nebulae and galaxies when conditions allow.

ǞǞǞ Milky Way is seasonal, roughly May to October, and it needs a dark Moon to show properly. Shooting stars appear when they appear, and nobody can promise those.

Thursday at Los Molinos on the west coast has the lowest light pollution, so it is the strongest night for deep sky viewing. Pick it if a dark sky is the whole point for you.

Friday at the Corralejo Dunes is the easiest to reach from the north and strong for planets and bright constellations.

Tuesday at Pozo Negro on the east coast is the most sheltered from wind and the most accessible if anyone in your group has limited mobility.

More than the season does, and this is the part most tours will not mention before you pay.

在一个 new Moon the sky is at its darkest and faint objects show best, including the Milky Way in season. On a quarter Moon you get a good balance of lunar detail plus stars and planets. On a full Moon the Moon itself looks superb through a telescope, but it washes out faint stars and galaxies.

The meeting point is always a clear public spot. From there the group travels together to the observation site, which sits away from town lights and changes slightly depending on where the sky is clearest that evening.

Warm layers and closed shoes. Evenings in Fuerteventura feel colder than people expect, especially near the coast and in open ground away from the towns.

Blankets and ground rugs are provided, along with the telescopes, binoculars and laser pointers. Food and drinks are not included, so bring your own if you want something.
