Ages 6 To 65, The Most Family-Friendly Of The Three
Worth knowing if you are booking for a family: snorkelling takes the youngest children of anything we run from this base. From 6 years, against 8 for a try dive and 10 for paddle boarding.
Families with young children. From 6 upwards, in shallow calm water, with a life jacket and a guide. This is the one that works.
Nervous swimmers. The life jacket does the work. You do not need to be a strong swimmer to enjoy this.
Pregnancy: allowed up to 5 months by the operator.
Over 65? Message us before booking and we will check with the operator rather than have you turned away at the base.
Mixed group? A family with a 6 year old and a 14 year old can all do this together, which is not true of the diving or the paddle boarding.

Cancellation And Changes
- You may cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours in advance. Send your request by email to office@clubcanary.com.
- If you do not cancel in time, or you are not on time on the day, there is no refund.

- Shoes and other belongings are stored securely at the base while you are in the water.

Real talk: this is the gentlest thing we run from La Lajita and it is the one we book for families. Ages 6 and up, shallow calm water, a life jacket so nobody has to tread water, and you walk in from the beach rather than climbing off a boat. Fifty minutes is about right before small people get cold.
The honest part is about location. Isla de Lobos is the famous snorkelling spot on this island and this excursion does not go there. If Lobos is what you pictured, take the Oby Freebird catamaran instead, which actually lands on the island for about an hour. La Lajita is the practical choice if you are in the south and want a guide.
And if you already own a mask, swim confidently and are staying on a decent beach, you can just walk into the sea for free. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise. What you are paying for here is a guide who knows where the fish are, gear that does not leak, and a lift both ways.
