Fuerteventura and Lanzarote sit a short ferry ride apart, and they look nothing alike. Lanzarote was built by fire, and one day in a 4x4 covers the highlights: the volcanic cones around Timanfaya, the cliffs at Playa de Famara, high viewpoints over the north coast, the old capital at Villa de Teguise, and the green farming villages of Guatiza, Mala and Haría.
