Paddle Boarding Fuerteventura, How It Works From La Lajita
You are collected from your accommodation and driven to the base at La Lajita, on the south-east coast. From there it is straight onto the water. The coastline here is what makes it worth doing: cliffs, golden sand, sea caves and the clear turquoise water this island is known for.
The Two-Hour Structure Is The Good Bit
Most rental places hand you a board and point at the sea. Here the first hour is with an instructor, so you actually learn to stand, balance and paddle without wasting the session falling off. Then the second hour is free, and you use what you just learned to explore the coast toward Costa Calma at your own pace.
Rent Paddle Boards In Fuerteventura, With The Lesson Built In
A paddle board Fuerteventura rental on its own gets you a board and a car park. This gets you a board, an instructor and a coastline worth paddling.
If you are searching to rent paddle boards in Fuerteventura, this is worth understanding: you are not just renting a board here, you are getting taught on it first. The instruction is included in the same session rather than sold as an extra.
That matters more than it sounds. Paddle boarding looks trivial from the beach and then you get on one and discover your ankles do not work like you thought. An hour with someone correcting your stance turns the second hour from a struggle into an actual paddle.
What Paddle Boarding Actually Is, If You Have Never Tried
You stand on a wide, stable board and move yourself along with a long paddle. That is it. No engine, no licence, no experience needed. It is closer to walking on water than to surfing, and most people are upright within the first twenty minutes. Fuerteventura paddle boarding suits beginners for exactly that reason: the water here is calm enough to learn on.
It is also one of the better ways to see this coast, because you sit high enough to look down into clear water and quiet enough to get near the cliffs and caves that a boat cannot reach. Marine life shows up often, though it is nature so nobody can promise it.

Off you go. Cliffs, sea caves, golden beaches and clear water, at whatever pace suits you.
- 5Back At The Base

- 6About 3 Hours Total
Dropped Back Off
Back to your accommodation. Made your own way there and want the lift back? Add it to your order note when you book.
Ages 10 To 65, And Who It Suits
Being straight about this because it is buried in most listings. The activity is open to ages 10 to 65. Under 10 is too young for the balance required, and 65 is the operator's upper limit.
Families with older children. From 10 upwards this works well, and children often pick it up faster than the adults.
Couples and friends. The free second hour is the bit people enjoy most, paddling off together rather than following a group.
Pregnancy: allowed up to 5 months. Beyond that, the operator says no.
Over 65? Message us before booking and we will ask the operator rather than take a booking that gets refused at the base.
No experience needed. That is what the first hour is for.

De Eerlijke Mening van Club Canary
Eerlijk gesproken van uw lokale team op de Canarische Eilanden
Real talk: the format is what makes this worth booking rather than just hiring a board off a beach. An hour with an instructor, then an hour on your own. Without the lesson most people spend the whole session falling off and calling it a day. With it, the second hour is genuinely good paddling along a lovely stretch of coast.
It is also a calm activity, and that is the honest framing. If you came looking for speed and noise, the jet ski down at Morro Jable of de buggy safari from Costa Calma will suit you better, and we would rather send you there than have you paddle politely for two hours feeling underwhelmed.
The clever move is doing both. La Lajita sits between Costa Calma and Morro Jable, so a paddle in the morning and a buggy or a jet ski in the afternoon is an easy day. Message us and we will make sure the timings actually work.
Two hours on the water, one of them properly taught. Then go find something faster.
