Santa Cruz, one big street.

About 1.5 hours to the capital. The bus stops in the zone the police assign that day, then it is a 10 to 25 minute walk to the parade. Comfortable shoes.

Rows of empty reserved chairs on the tribune along the parade route in Santa Cruz by day
Your Chair

This is the tribune.

A simple chair on a raised platform along the route, with toilets nearby. Not a VIP box. Booked early, it is yours; chairs go in booking order and run out every year.

Your Chair

The same chair at four o’clock.

Full, loud, and the parade passes right in front. Leave for a drink or a photo and come back with your ticket. No chair? You stand in the street like most locals.

Two performers in silver costumes waving large flags on the parade route in Santa Cruz
Paraad

It opens with the flags.

From about 16:00 the groups come one after the other for three to four hours. First the flag bearers, then the drums, the dancers, the floats.

Grupid

Comparsas, a year of work.

Every group rehearses for months for this afternoon. Matching costumes, drum lines, choreography. You will hear the next one before you see it.

Kostüümid

Feathers, stones, and a lot of glue.

Handmade, worn once, carried for four hours in the sun. Up close you see why the tribune is worth it.

The Queen

She passes last, and slowest.

The Carnival Queen on her float, in a dress that weighs more than she does. The moment the whole avenue holds its phone up.

Ujukid

Built for one afternoon.

Every float is pulled by a truck and built by a club or a neighbourhood. Behind them, the Anaga mountains and the harbour.

Tagasitulek

Your bus leaves in its slot.

The police send the buses out in waves, usually between 19:00 and 20:00. Your host tells you your time. The bus cannot wait, so be at the meeting point. Most guests are home around 21:30; a bus with many drop-off stops takes longer.

Tenerife Carnival 2027, Coso Apoteosis By Bus From The South

Tuesday 23 February 2027, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The main parade of the Tenerife karneval, this year under the theme Roma Eterna, and a local holiday in the capital. Club Canary runs private buses from the south and from Puerto de la Cruz to this parade every year, with a host at boarding, drop-off inside the authorised bus zone, a tribune chair if you book early, your Club Canary collectible card, and for 2027 a red Roman cape for a few euros, so our whole group walks in as one. You pay once, you get picked up near your hotel, you are back the same night. Full payment at booking, this day sells out every year.

A small bus with fewer pick-ups, more legroom and a quicker exit from the parking zone. Same authorised access, same card. Driver only, no host on board, so be on time at your meeting point; finding the bus is easy, there are not many small buses out there. One of the six runs from Puerto de la Cruz, so the north sells out first.

  • Tribune chair can be added
  • Sells out first, book it first
Add-onAdd Tribune Chair, Bus Guests+50€Per chair, adult or child. Only with a bus or minibus ticket.

No bus neededTribune Chair Only, No Bus80 €Per chair. For guests who do not need our bus.

  • Same allocation rule, booking order
  • Limited, ask before you count on it

Prices are 2027 launch prices. They rise when buses fill, they never drop. Bigger group than the dropdown allows, or a company outing? Email events@clubcanary.com for a private bus.

How Your Carnival Tuesday Works

1
Pick-up, late morning

Between about 11:00 and 13:10 depending on your area, at your hotel or a known meeting point nearby. Your exact time and point come by email about two weeks before, once Club Canary has grouped all guests by area.

2
The drive, about 1.5 hours

Carnival traffic is real. Use the toilet before you leave, there is none on the bus. Your host tells you the meeting point for the return and how to reach the tribune. This is a transfer with boarding help, not a guided tour; nobody walks you through town.

3
Drop-off and the walk

Buses park in the zone the authorities assign that day. It is not announced in advance and it can mean a walk of 10 to 25 minutes on a quieter route, away from the main crowd. That is by design, not bad luck.

4
The parade, 3.5 to 4 hours

Floats, comparsas, the Carnival Queen, drums and bands from about 16:00. From your chair or from the street. Leave for food or photos and come back with your ticket.

5
Back to the bus, assigned slot

On arrival each bus is given a departure slot between about 19:00 and 20:00 by the traffic police, to empty the city in waves. Your host tells you your slot. It can be earlier than the bus next to you. The bus cannot wait; if you miss it, the way home is a taxi at your own cost.

6
Home, usually 21:00 to 22:00

Drop-off at the same point you were collected. A bus with many stops, or heavy traffic out of the city, takes longer; the times on this page are guide times, not a promise. Staying to party instead? Tell your host, keep your ticket, and find your own way back later.

Pick-Up Areas For The Coso Apoteosis

Club Canary collects from hotels and known meeting points, never from private addresses or apartments. Enter your hotel name when booking, or the nearest hotel if you stay in an apartment. Chair only, no bus? Write: no bus. Because we move hundreds of guests on this day, we group people by area, so your bus makes fewer stops than a normal excursion coach.

Costa Adeje and Playa ParaisoAround 11:50 to 12:30. Callao Salvaje, Playa Paraiso, Fañabe, Torviscas, Puerto Colón, Plaza del Duque area.
Playa de las Américas and Los CristianosAround 12:15 to 12:50. Las Américas hotels, Los Cristianos centre and harbour side.
Los Gigantes and Puerto SantiagoAround 11:00 to 11:20. First on the route, earliest pick-up.
Costa del Silencio, Las Galletas, Palm MarAround 12:40 to 12:50.
San Miguel, Golf del Sur, El MédanoAround 13:00 to 13:10. Last stops before the motorway north.
Puerto de la Cruz and La OrotavaAround 13:00 to 14:00, separate bus from the north. Same price, same card.

Times are guide times from previous years. The time on your ticket is the one that counts. Candelaria and Las Caletillas on request.

Tribune Chairs, The Honest Version

Reserved chairs for the Coso Apoteosis are released by the city to a few authorised companies, and mostly as part of bus packages. Club Canary reserves as many as it can, months ahead, and hands them out in the order people booked. In 2026 every guest who booked with a chair before mid December got one, and guests who booked later did not, because the city released fewer chairs than expected. We refunded the chair part in full. It was painful for everyone, so this year we say it up front: book early if you want to sit. Early means early: bookings for the Coso Apoteosis 2027 opened on this page on 24 September 2026, and chairs go in the order of booking from that day. The city releases the final chair numbers only about three weeks before the parade, so "I booked two months ahead" is, honestly, a late booking for a chair. This date stays on the page all season so nobody has to take our word for it.

What a chair is: a simple seat on the official tribune along the parade route, with a toilet area for seated guests, and the right to leave and come back. What it is not: a VIP box, a private zone, or a guarantee that the person in front of you never stands up. The chairs exist to support guests who travel up from the south by bus, and that is how they reach Club Canary: inside the transport packages. A chair without the bus therefore still carries the bus cost, which is why it is priced higher, and the printed price on the official ticket is lower than what you pay Club Canary. That difference is not a reason for a refund or a chargeback, and we explain it here so nobody is surprised.

If a chair cannot be confirmed for you, Club Canary contacts you as soon as we know and refunds the chair in full, or offers a chair for Ritmo y Armonía plus the difference back. Your bus place is never affected.

Your Card, And The Red Roman Cape

Every Club Canary order for the Coso Apoteosis comes with the collectible card for this event, printed by us in Costa Adeje and handed to you on the bus. Tribune chair only guests get theirs at the meeting point. Small thing, and the thing people keep.

New for 2027: a red Roman cape, one size, with a small emblem on the shoulder. Put it on over your clothes and every Club Canary bus walks into Santa Cruz as one group, easy to spot in a crowd of 200,000. We ask 5€ for it, which is less than it costs us. We make no money on the capes, we lose a little, and we do it anyway because it is a lot more fun when everyone wears one. The small price is only there so capes go to people who will really wear them. Photos on this page in October, once the first pieces are in our hands.

Cape rules, so it stays fair. One cape per person on your booking, children included, never more capes than guests. One cape covers both Ritmo y Armonía and the Coso Apoteosis, so book it on one of the two, not on both. Handed to you on the bus, or collect it at the Club Canary office in Plaza del Duque from 1 February. Capes ordered above the number of guests on the order are refunded, not sent.

Read This Before You Book

The walk and the parking zone. The authorities decide on the day where the buses park, and they do not tell anyone in advance, for safety. Some years it is close, some years it is a 20 minute walk. The route the police give the buses avoids the main crowd, which is why it feels long and quiet. If a 20 minute walk is a problem for you, this is not the right event.
The return slot. Each bus gets a departure time between 19:00 and 20:00, assigned on arrival, to get thousands of people out of Santa Cruz without a crush. Your bus may leave at 19:00 while another leaves at 19:45. We cannot choose it, we cannot swap it, and it is not a reason for a refund. We plan the day so you see the full parade before your slot.
Hosts help you board, they do not guide you. On the coaches a Club Canary host checks tickets and finds the right people for the right bus, because the pick-up stops are chaotic on this day. On the minibuses there is a driver only. Nobody walks with you in Santa Cruz or explains the parade. Be on time, know your return meeting point, keep your phone charged.
It is a street party with 200,000 people. Loud, crowded, full of movement, sometimes chaotic. Most guests love it. Some find it too much. Mobility limits, small children and anyone who dislikes crowds should think twice. Club Canary provides the bus and the chair, not the parade.

Why Book The Tenerife Carnival Bus With Club Canary

Club Canary has run buses to the Santa Cruz Carnival every year since 2022 and is the agency that moves the most guests from the south of Tenerife to the parades. In 2026 that was more than 370 bus guests and over 400 tribune chairs for the Coso Apoteosis alone. That volume is what you pay for: we fill whole buses from one hotel area, so your pick-up round is short; we hold more chairs than anyone else selling from the south, because the authorised companies release them to the buyers who book the most buses; and our buses have authorised access to the Carnival bus zone. You may find a cheaper bus somewhere. You will not find one with a host at boarding, a line from Puerto de la Cruz, a written policy for the day the city cancels, a team answering on WhatsApp every day in more than ten languages, and a collectible card in your hand. Club Canary is a licensed travel agency with an office in Plaza del Duque, Costa Adeje, open every day, and our Best Price Guarantee applies. Press and media covering the Tenerife Carnival can write to info@clubcanary.com; we have helped journalists before and we are glad to again.

Coso Apoteosis 2027, Booking Policy

Maksmine

  • Full payment at booking. This day sells out every year and buses and chairs are reserved with partners in advance.
  • Groups of 15 or more can ask for an invoice and a payment split before booking.
  • Bookings for this event opened on 24 September 2026. Chairs are allocated in booking order from that date.
  • Prices can rise when availability drops. A lower price seen elsewhere, or a lower printed value on an official ticket, is not a reason for a refund or a chargeback.

If You Cancel

  • More than 45 days before: 100 percent refund. Club Canary starts the bus schedules early for this day, so this is the free window.
  • 20 to 45 days before: 90 percent. The 10 percent covers administration and payment costs.
  • 12 to 20 days before: 75 percent.
  • 5 to 12 days before: 60 percent.
  • 1 to 5 days before: 40 percent.
  • Less than 24 hours, no-show, or missing the bus at the meeting point: no refund.
  • Illness is not covered unless you send an official medical certificate; then Club Canary asks the partner for a refund on your behalf. Travel insurance is recommended.

If The City Cancels

  • If the Coso Apoteosis is cancelled by the authorities before departure, for any reason including safety or public order, Club Canary refunds 80 percent. The remaining 20 percent covers bus, staff and payment costs already made. In 2025 the parade was cancelled at the last minute after a serious incident in the city, with guests already on the buses; this rule exists because of that day.
  • If the parade is cancelled after arrival in Santa Cruz and the host decides to return before 16:00, 40 percent of the bus price is refunded. Chair refunds follow what the city returns to the authorised companies.
  • Rain and normal weather are not grounds for refunds. Only the authorities cancel.
  • Return times on this page are guide times. Traffic, the number of drop-off stops on your bus and the slot assigned by the police can make the journey home longer; this is not a reason for a refund.
  • Changes to pick-up time, parking zone, walking route, parade timing or return slot made by the authorities or by traffic are part of Carnival and not grounds for refunds.

Tribune Chairs

  • Chairs are allocated in booking order, subject to the official release. The bus can be guaranteed, the chair cannot.
  • If your chair cannot be confirmed you are told as soon as we know and refunded in full for the chair, or offered an alternative.
  • A chair means a place in the official seating zone. Exact row, seat number, perfect view and a quiet neighbour are not promised. Groups are seated together whenever possible.
  • Do not share your seating ticket outside your group, it carries a personal access code.

Red Roman Cape

  • Sold below cost as an extra, one size, one cape per person on the booking, children included. Capes ordered above the number of guests are refunded, not sent.
  • One cape covers both Carnival nights; a second cape for the same person is refunded.
  • Handed out on the bus or at the Club Canary office from 1 February. Not posted.

On The Bus And In Town

  • Follow the host and the driver. Unsafe or disrespectful behaviour means removal without refund.
  • No alcohol or illegal substances on the bus. Snacks are fine.
  • If you skip the pick-up, leave early, stay in Santa Cruz, or miss the return bus, no partial refund applies. The bus cannot wait for late guests; a taxi back is at your own cost.
  • The minibus is adults only, 18 and over, with a driver and no host.
  • Club Canary provides the transfer and the chairs. Crowds, noise, visibility, weather and the parade itself are not ours to control and not grounds for refunds.

By booking you confirm you have read this policy. Questions before the day: info@clubcanary.com or WhatsApp. On the day: follow the instructions on your ticket and ask your host.

Tenerife Carnival 2027, Your Questions

Mis on Coso Apoteosis Tenerifel?

Coso Apoteosis on Santa Cruz de Tenerife karnevali peamine paraad, mis toimub karnevaliteisipäeval Avenida de Anagal. Karnevalikuninganna, tantsutrupid comparsas, lilleehtes vankrid, trummid ja orkestrid marssivad kolm kuni neli tundi umbes 200 000 inimese ees. Club Canary korraldab sinna igal aastal eraviisilisi busse lõunast ja Puerto de la Cruzist ning pakub valikulist tribüünitooli. Kõik 2027. aasta kuupäevad on lehel Club Canary Karnevalijuht.

Miks on Tenerife karneval aastal 2027 tavapärasest hiljem?

Kuidas Coso Apoteosis buss Club Canary töötab?

Te broneerite veebis ja maksate täismahus. Umbes kaks nädalat enne paraadi saadab Club Canary e-kirjaga teie pealevõtmise aja ja kogunemiskoha, mis on rühmitatud hotellipiirkonna järgi. Teid viib ära privaatne buss, mille pardal on vastuvõtja, või autojuhiga väikebuss, mis saabub hilisel hommikul, sõidab umbes 1,5 tundi Santa Cruzi ja paneb teid maha volitatud karnevalibussi tsoonis. Pärast paraadi kõnnite tagasi bussi juurde, lahkute liikluspolitsei määratud ajal ja teid viiakse tagasi samasse punkti.

Mis vahe on bussil ja väikebussil?

Buss on 55-kohaline reisibuss, mille pardal on Club Canary saatja, kes kontrollib pileteid ja aitab kõigil õigesse bussi istuda. Väikebussis on 18 istekohta, vähem peatusi, rohkem jalaruumi ja kiiremb väljumine parklast, kuid seal on ainult juht ja saatjat pole, ning see on Ainult täiskasvanutele. Mõlemal on sama volitatud juurdepääs ja sama kingikott. Club Canary-l on Coso Apoteosis'e jaoks vaid kuus väikebussi, mistõttu need müüakse esimesena läbi.

Miks on jalutuskäik bussist mõnikord pikk?

Kas tribüüniiste on broneerimisel garanteeritud?

Kas me istume tribüünil koos?

Peaaegu alati. Club Canary rühmitab võimalusel kõik broneeringud kokku. Ainult väga hilised broneeringud võivad lahku minna, kui rida on juba täis, ja sellisel juhul anname teile sellest enne päeva teada.

Why is the printed price on my chair ticket lower than what I paid?

Because the official ticket shows the base seat value set by the organisers. The tribune chairs exist to support guests who come up from the south by bus, and that is how they reach Club Canary: inside the transport packages, with staffing, coordination and reservation costs on top. A chair without the bus still carries the bus cost, which is why it is priced higher. This is explained before you book, and the difference is not a reason for a refund or a chargeback.

Can I book a tribune chair without the bus?

Yes, in limited numbers, for guests who do not need our bus, for example people staying in or near Santa Cruz. Club Canary offers it through a special arrangement with authorised companies, which is why it is priced higher than the chair add-on. The same rule applies: booking order, subject to the official release, full refund if it cannot be confirmed. In the hotel field, write: Bussi pole.

What is in the Club Canary goodie bag?

Every guest on a Club Canary bus or minibus finds a small bag on their seat with the Club Canary collectible card for this event and a small accessory in the year's Carnival theme to wear, so you are not the only one in the street without a costume and our hosts can spot you in the crowd. Chair only guests receive their card at the meeting point.

Can children come?

Yes. Children from 2 to 11 pay the child rate on the bus, under 2 travel free on a lap. The minibus is adults only. Chairs cost the same for children because a chair is a chair. Think honestly about whether a loud, packed, four hour parade suits your child. Club Canary is happy to advise on WhatsApp.

Is the Coso Apoteosis suitable for people with mobility problems?

Honestly, it is hard. The walk from the bus can be 20 minutes, the streets are packed, the tribune has steps and the toilets are basic. Club Canary helps where we can, but we cannot promise comfort. If walking is a problem, the Ritmo y Armonía evening or watching the parade on Televisión Canaria from your hotel may be the better choice.

Is public transport a good alternative on Carnival Tuesday?

Not really. Public buses are packed, taxis are almost impossible to find after the parade and parking in Santa Cruz is closed off. Club Canary buses have authorised access to the Carnival bus zone and grouped hotel pick-ups, which is why they are one of the fastest ways in and out.

Can I stay in Santa Cruz after the parade?

Jah. Rääkige oma Club Canary võõrustajaga või saatke meile WhatsApp so the bus does not wait for you. There is no price reduction for skipping the return. Taxis and buses back to the south are very hard to find during Carnival, so only stay if you have a plan for the way home.

When do I receive my tickets?

You receive your invoice right after booking. Your bus ticket with the exact pick-up time and point, and your chair ticket if confirmed, arrive by email about two weeks before the parade, once Club Canary has grouped all guests by area and the city has released the chairs. We cannot send times earlier because the schedule is made from all bookings. Do not share a chair ticket outside your group, it carries a personal access code.

When does booking open for the Tenerife Carnival buses?

Club Canary opens the Coso Apoteosis about six to eight months before the parade, as soon as the city publishes the programme. Chairs go in booking order, so the earliest bookings have the best chance of a seat. Prices rise as buses fill and never drop.

Why do I have to pay in full when booking?

Because Club Canary reserves the buses and the chairs with partners months in advance and pays for them whether the seats are used or not. This day sells out every year. Full payment is what makes it possible to guarantee your bus place. The full rules are in the broneerimisreeglid sellel leheküljel.

Can I book in person instead of online?

Yes. Visit the Club Canary office in the Plaza del Duque shopping centre in Costa Adeje, open every day. Send a WhatsApp before you come so staff in your language are ready. Payment by card or cash, invoice on the spot. The booking itself is still made in our online system, so your tickets arrive by email like everyone else's.

What happens if the city cancels the parade?

If the authorities cancel the Coso Apoteosis before departure, Club Canary refunds 80 percent; the rest covers bus, staff and payment costs already made. If it is cancelled after arrival and the host returns early, 40 percent of the bus price is refunded and chair refunds follow what the city returns. This happened in 2025 after a serious incident in the city, with guests already on the buses, which is why the rule is written in plain words in the broneerimisreeglid.

What if it rains?

The parade goes ahead in rain. Only the authorities cancel, and only for safety. Bring a light rain layer and something warm for the bus ride home. Weather is not a reason for a refund with Club Canary or any other seller.

Kas ma saan oma broneeringu tühistada?

Yes. Club Canary refunds 100 percent more than 45 days before the parade, because the bus schedules for this day are made early. From 45 to 20 days before it is 90 percent, the 10 percent covers administration and payment costs. After that 75, 60 and 40 percent in the steps shown in the broneerimisreeglid on this page, and nothing inside 24 hours or for a no-show. Illness needs an official medical certificate. We recommend travel insurance for every holiday.

Is there a guide on the bus?

On the coaches a Club Canary host travels with you, checks tickets and makes sure the right people get on the right bus, because the pick-up stops are chaotic on Carnival Tuesday. That is boarding help, not a guided tour: nobody walks with you in Santa Cruz or explains the parade. The minibuses have a driver only. Be on time at the meeting point; a bus cannot wait and a taxi home is at your own cost.

Can I book a private driver instead of the bus?

Yes. Club Canary works with trusted private drivers who take you from your hotel to Santa Cruz and back, and can even add a Teide stop before the parade. Private cars cannot enter the authorised Carnival bus zone, so they drop you as close as the police allow. Book your tribune chairs on this page and ask Club Canary on WhatsApp for a private driver quote.

Can a company or a large group book a private bus?

Yes. Club Canary arranges private buses for companies, clubs and big groups, with your own pick-up plan and the option to stay later. Arrange it at least six weeks before Carnival by emailing events@clubcanary.com. Invoices with tax included.

Which other Carnival nights can I book with Club Canary?

Two more, both with buses from the south: the Cabalgata Anunciadora on the Friday, the opening night where you walk with the parade, and Ritmo y Armonía on the Saturday, the comparsas on Avenida de Anaga with tribune chairs available. Many guests do the Coso Apoteosis plus one of the two.

I am a journalist. Can Club Canary help me cover the Carnival?

Often yes. Club Canary has helped press cover the Santa Cruz Carnival before, including transport and a tribune place for a feature in an international business magazine. Write to info@clubcanary.com with your outlet and your plan, well before Carnival week. We do not work with influencers.
