The buggy has 2 seats, so bring your partner or a friend and swap the driving during the tour. It is automatic and easy to handle, with a full safety briefing before you set off, so you do not need any off-road experience. Just bring some energy and clothes you do not mind getting dusty.

You drive a mix of roads and off-road dirt tracks through the countryside around Puerto Calero, Tías, San Bartolomé, Masdache and La Asomada, with a break halfway. The exact route can shift with conditions, but this is what a typical safari looks like.

Ce qu'il faut apporter : your original driving licence for each driver (a physical card, or a digital licence such as Gov.uk or DGT plus your physical passport or ID), closed shoes, sunglasses and sun cream. A bandana or buff for the dust is a good idea.
What NOT to wear: flip-flops (drivers are refused without closed shoes), and skip good clothes, you will get dusty.

Voici la vraie raison : Lanzarote n'a pas de pistes de terre infinies, et les volcans sont un parc national protégé où aucun véhicule ne peut rouler en tout-terrain. Vous obtenez donc des portions de route lisses pour relier le tout, puis de vrais sentiers de terre poussiéreux à travers la campagne. C'est une balade vraiment amusante et poussiéreuse, mais pas trois heures d'affilée de terre.
Vais-je me poussiérer pendant le safari ?
Oui, et c'est bien là le but. Les portions tout-terrain sont poussiéreuses et le X3 Turbo est rapide, vous allez donc vous salir. Des lunettes de protection sont fournies, et nous vous recommandons un bandana ou un tour de cou pour le visage, que vous pourrez acheter sur place. Ne portez pas de beaux vêtements, venez dans une tenue qui ne vous dérange pas de voir couverte de poussière. Vous reviendrez avec le sourire aux lèvres.
Combien de personnes peuvent monter dans le buggy et les enfants peuvent-ils venir ?
Le Maverick X3 Turbo dispose de 2 sièges, il y a donc un conducteur et un passager, idéal pour un couple ou deux amis qui souhaitent alterner. Les enfants peuvent monter comme passagers à partir de 7 ans. Vous réservez pour un groupe ? Le prix s'entend par buggy, donc un groupe d'amis réserve simplement plusieurs buggies ensemble. Quelles sont les conditions requises pour le conducteur et le permis ?
Pour conduire, vous devez présenter un permis de conduire original, qu'il s'agisse d'une carte physique ou d'un permis numérique tel que Gov.uk ou DGT, ainsi que votre passeport physique ou votre carte d'identité. Une simple photo ou copie n'est pas acceptée. Les conducteurs doivent être âgés d'au moins 21 ans et être titulaires d'un permis depuis au moins 2 ans. Où commence la visite et est-ce que la prise en charge à l'hôtel est disponible ?

The guide also takes photos on your own phone, so your photos are free. Not included: food and drinks at the Gran Karting stop, and a bandana or buff, which you can buy on site.
Can I book the cheaper Maverick Trail buggy instead?
On this page we showcase the powerful X3 Turbo, but the operator also runs the lighter, more affordable Maverick Trail buggy on request. The Maverick Trail is from 130€ for the 2 hour tour and from 170€ for the 3 hour tour. It is not on the online calendar, so just message us on WhatsApp and we will book it for you manually. Tell us which one you want and your preferred date.
Quelle est la politique d'annulation ?
Cancel for free up to 48 hours before, or 4 days before for 4 or more buggies. After that: cancel 24 to 48 hours before and you lose the deposit only; cancel 12 to 24 hours before and you lose the deposit plus 60€ per buggy; cancel under 12 hours before, no-show or arrive too late and you lose the deposit and still pay 90% of the balance, because the buggy and guide are reserved for you. The only exception is a same-day doctor letter, which only covers the person who is ill, not the whole group.

- 1 to 3 buggies: cancel or reschedule for free up to 48 heures avant la visite.
- 4 or more buggies: libre jusqu'à 96 heures (4 jours) before, because a bigger group is harder to refill.
- Cancellations go by email to office@clubcanary.com.

- Between 12 and 24 hours before: you lose the full deposit, plus a fee of 60€ per booked buggy. We send a payment link.
- Less than 12 hours before, a no-show, or arriving too late: you lose the full deposit and still pay 90% of the arrival balance. Only the 10% for fuel you will not use is waived. We send a payment link.
- The buggy and guide are reserved and paid for your group either way, so the deposit alone can never cover a late cancellation.
No Excuses, With One Exception
- Traffic, an accident on the way, a missed pickup or simply running late are your own responsibility. No refund is given for these.
- Le site only exception is a genuine doctor or hospital letter, dated the same day, stating that the person cannot take part in the activity.
- Important: a doctor letter only covers that one person, not the whole group. For example, if four of you booked two buggies and one person is genuinely ill, at most one buggy may be adjusted, and even that depends on the situation. One sick person does not cancel the whole group's booking.

- No alcohol or drugs before driving. Anyone unfit to drive safely may be refused, with no refund.

- If the tour is cancelled by the operator for unsafe weather, you are offered a new date or a full refund. You never lose money when the operator cancels.

Here is the honest bit so there are no surprises: it is about 60% road and 40% off-road. Lanzarote simply does not have endless dirt tracks, and the volcanoes are protected national park where nobody can drive off-road. So it is a real dusty ride, just not three solid hours of dirt.
