Free Hotel Transfers From The Resorts

This is the practical reason most people book this particular boat trip. Gran Tarajal is a working fishing harbour, not a resort, so getting there matters, and the transfer is included rather than an extra.

Free Pickup And Return

Caleta de Fuste. The Caleta de Fuste pickup service runs from here, so a Caleta de Fuste to Gran Tarajal boat trip needs no car and no taxi.

Costa Calma. Included both ways, which makes this the easiest Costa Calma to Gran Tarajal excursion available.

Jandía. The catamaran transfer covers this area too.

Gran Tarajal itself. Walk to the harbour and board directly.

Your exact pickup time is confirmed after booking, once the group and the sailing time are set.

Staying somewhere else? Ask us for a transfer quote, or make your own way to the harbour and arrive 15 to 20 minutes before departure. Self-drive is completely fine.

Why this beats driving. Five hours on a boat with lunch and drinks included does not mix well with a hire car waiting at the harbour. The transfer means nobody has to stay sober or watch the clock.

Boat trip with transfer included is genuinely rare on this island, and it is the main reason we recommend this trip for guests in the east and south.

The Gran Tarajal catamaran tour is a 5 hour shared trip on the Sealand catamaran along the south coast of Fuerteventura, departing around 11:00 from Gran Tarajal harbour. It costs 69€ per adult, 45€ per child aged 3 to 11, and babies under 3 travel free. Lunch, drinks, snorkelling gear, kayaks, paddleboards and free hotel transfers from Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma and Jandía are all included, with a swim stop at Cala del Caracol.

Your Five Hours Along The South Coast

A Fuerteventura south coast catamaran route that most visitors never see, because it starts from a fishing harbour rather than a resort marina.

Your Catamaran Trip, Step By Step

  • 1Before 11:00

    Pickup Or Boarding

Free pickup from Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma or Jandía, or board directly at Gran Tarajal harbour. A quick safety briefing and you set off.

  • 2Sailing Out

Las Playitas And The Entallada Cliffs

Past the small fishing village of Las Playitas and the dramatic cliffs below the Entallada lighthouse. This is the stretch people photograph.

  • 3Along The Coast

    The Quiet Villages

Jacomar, Giniginámar, Tarajalejo and La Lajita slide past. No resorts, no crowds, just the coastline as it actually is.

  • 4Ancrez-vous

    Cala Del Caracol Bay

The catamaran anchors in a quiet bay with clear water. Swim, or take the snorkelling gear out. This is the heart of the trip.

  • 5À bord

    Lunch And Watersports

Lunch is served: Canarian food or fusion, with water, soft drinks, beer and wine included. Kayaks and paddleboards come out, or you stay on deck with a drink.

  • 65 Hours Total

    Back To Gran Tarajal

Music on for the sail home, then your transfer back to your hotel if you booked pickup.

Wildlife: wild dolphins and occasionally a whale do appear along this coast. It is a genuine bonus rather than part of the trip, and nothing can be guaranteed.

Kayaking And Paddle Boarding Included, With One Honest Caveat

Kayaks and paddleboards are included in the price, along with snorkelling gear, and they come out at the swim stop. Here is the honest part: the numbers are limited and guests take turns.

That is not a problem on a relaxed five hour trip, but it does mean you are not getting a kayak to yourself for the whole afternoon. Everyone who wants a go gets one. If you want unlimited private use of the gear, a private charter is the way to do that.

Cala Del Caracol, The Swim Stop

Cala del Caracol is a quiet bay on the south coast with clear, calm water, and it is the reason the route runs the way it does. There is time to swim properly, snorkel with the provided gear, or take a kayak out while lunch is being served.

It is reachable by boat rather than road, which is what keeps it quiet. That is the whole appeal of a Fuerteventura sailing trip from this side of the island.

Coming Off A Cruise Ship In Puerto Del Rosario?

Fuerteventura is a popular cruise stop and the ships dock at Puerto del Rosario, where there is honestly not a great deal to do in the port town itself. Corralejo and Morro Jable are both nice and both a fair drive.

So here is an alternative. Take a taxi down the coast to Gran Tarajal and join this trip. Swim in a quiet bay, try the watersports, eat lunch on deck, and see a real Canarian fishing village rather than a cruise terminal. Met some good company on the ship? Bring them.

⚠️ Check your ship's departure time first. This is a five hour trip, so it suits longer port stops, and you need to allow time for the taxi each way. Message us with your port times and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.

A Morro Jable Catamaran Alternative?

If you have been looking at boat trips from Morro Jable and want something on the same coast with a different feel, this is it. Straight comparison rather than a sales pitch.

This trip

Gran Tarajal, Sealand

  • 5 hours, 69€ adult, 45€ child, babies free.
  • Free transfers from Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma and Jandía.
  • Lunch, drinks, kayaks and paddleboards included.
  • A fishing harbour rather than a resort marina.

The convenient choice for the east and south.

Morro Jable Options

Different harbour, different day.

Staying in Caleta de Fuste or Costa Calma? This trip, because the transfer is included and Morro Jable is a long way south. It is comfortably one of the best boat trips from Costa Calma for that reason alone.

Staying in Morro Jable or Jandía? Either works. This one includes your transfer, the Morro Jable boats are on your doorstep.

Up in Corralejo? The catamarans there are closer to you. Ask us and we will send the northern list.

L'Avis Honnête de Club Canary

En toute franchise, de la part de votre équipe locale des Îles Canaries

Real talk: the reason we recommend this one is the transfer. Gran Tarajal is a working fishing harbour rather than a resort, and the fact that the lift from Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma or Jandía is included changes the whole day. Nobody has to drive, nobody has to stay off the wine, and nobody is watching a hire car meter while anchored in a bay.

Value-wise it stacks up. Five hours, lunch, drinks, snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards, and a family of four at 228€ with babies free. The south coast here is genuinely quiet, and you sail past villages most visitors never see.

Two honest notes. The watersports are shared and you take turns, which is fine on a five hour trip but is not the same as having a kayak to yourself. And if you are staying in Morro Jable or up in Corralejo, there are boats on your doorstep that make more sense than travelling to Gran Tarajal, transfer or not.

Quiet coast, real village, and the lift both ways included.
