  • The Route to the Sea (2 hours) departs daily at 10:00 and 14:00. The Volcanic Trail (1 hour) departs daily at 12:30. The centre is in 阿罗纳，特内里费岛南部, near Montaña Amarilla, with free parking and a restaurant. The exact address is on your Club Canary e-ticket. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Getting There & Pickup
  • Drive yourself, or add a round-trip pickup for 10€ per family, available across south Tenerife from Callao Salvaje to El Médano, paid on the day. It is a small local centre, so in busy periods there can be a short wait as groups rotate.
Language & Riding Level
  • The guides speak mainly Spanish, with some English. Instructions are simple and the horses follow the guide, so language is rarely a problem. The horses are matched to your level, so beginners are very welcome, and confident riders can tell us their experience.
Ages, Weight & Who It Suits
  • Minimum age is 6, and the weight limit is 95 kg for the horses. Riding is not recommended for pregnant guests. Great for couples, families and solo riders.

Weight & Weather

  • The weight limit is 95 kg for horse welfare, and the minimum age is 6. Guests arriving over the limit may be refused without a refund.
  • If the ride is cancelled for unsafe weather, you get a new date or a full refund. Riding into the sea depends on sea conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Expectations

  • Please read the description first. This is a volcanic-countryside and black-lava coast ride, not a white-sand beach experience, the pace is mostly a relaxed walk, and the guides speak mainly Spanish with some English. If you have any issue during the ride, tell the guide on-site.

This is a lovely, different way to see Tenerife. You ride out from a real equestrian centre through volcanic countryside and lava fields to the Atlantic coast, and on the 2-hour ride, if the sea is calm, you can take your horse right into the shallow water. That moment is the one people remember.

We will be straight with you, because that is how you end up happy: this is a black-lava coast, not a sandy beach, the pace is mostly a calm walk, and the guides speak mainly Spanish with some English. None of that gets in the way, the horses do the talking, but it is good to know before you go. Book the 2-hour Route to the Sea for the full experience, and message us first with any question in your language.
