Sea Safari Tenerife, Quick Facts
Sea Safari Tenerife, Fast Whale And Dolphin Watching By Speedboat
The Sea Safari is a fast, small-group 3-hour whale and dolphin watching trip by speedboat from Puerto Colon. It is eco-certified under the Barco Azul and AROC programs, capped at 11 guests, and departs daily at 10:00 from Gate 3. You head quickly out to where the animals are, watch whales and dolphins with a specialist captain, then stop in a calm south-coast bay to swim or snorkel (gear provided), with a snack, a drink and a fresh local banana. From 60€ per adult.
Straight talk below: since May 2025, port rules mean this boat no longer sails to Los Gigantes or Masca, so it is now a focused wildlife and snorkel trip closer to the south coast, not a coastline sightseeing cruise. It is fast and small, ideal if you want adventure and no crowds, and less so if you want a slow, big-boat day out.
You reserve with a small deposit and pay the rest on the day, with a Best Price Guarantee, fast confirmation and a real local team on WhatsApp every day, 08:00 to 22:00. It is a genuinely small group on a fast, eco-certified boat, so you get a personal, respectful experience without the crowds. Rated 4.8/5 from Plus de 1 360 avis vérifiés.
60€ per adult and 40€ per child (ages 3 to 13), with group discounts: save 20€ from 4 adults and 40€ from 7. You pay a 20€ adult and 10€ child deposit online, and the rest on the day.
Sea Safari Tenerife, A Fast Small-Group Wildlife Trip From Puerto Colon
The Sea Safari is a fast, small-group whale and dolphin watching adventure from Puerto Colon. Departing daily, this speedboat takes you quickly to the areas where the animals gather, to look for whales, dolphins and sometimes turtles. It is a strong choice if you want a dynamic Tenerife dolphin boat trip in a more personal setting, rather than a big-boat cruise.
Important update: since May 2025, due to new port regulations, the Sea Safari boat is no longer allowed to sail to Los Gigantes or Masca. The tour now focuses fully on whale and dolphin watching closer to the south coast of Tenerife, with a swim and snorkel stop in a calm bay along the way.
Departing From Puerto Colon
The trip departs from Gate 3 at Puerto Colon, between Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas, at 10:00. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure for check-in and boarding. With a maximum of 11 passengers, this eco-certified speedboat is fast and focused on finding marine wildlife. Along the way you get sweeping views of Tenerife's south coast, including beaches, cliffs and Teide volcano, with La Gomera on the horizon.
The Sea Safari Boat Trip, Watching Plus A Snorkel Stop
The Sea Safari boat trip is around 2 hours of wildlife watching, plus time for swimming or snorkeling. The captain is a specialist in whale and dolphin sightings and shares information about the animals you meet along the way. After the watching, the tour stops at a calm bay such as Palm-Mar or La Caleta, depending on the weather, where you can swim or snorkel with equipment provided. During the break you get a snack, a drink and a fresh local banana from Tenerife's plantations.
The Sea Safari Boat
The Sea Safari boat is fast and agile, and licensed under the official Barco Azul and AROC programs for responsible whale and dolphin watching in the Canary Islands. The small group size means a personal, respectful interaction with marine life, without the crowds. If you want a faster, more adventurous alternative to bigger catamarans like the Freebird whale watching Tenerife trip, the Sea Safari is a great fit.

Sea Safari Questions (FAQ)
The questions people ask most before booking the Sea Safari. Still unsure?

The Sea Safari is for people who want speed and a small group, not a slow cruise. The fast boat gets you to the animals quickly, the captain knows the marine life, and the swim and snorkel stop in a calm bay is a nice way to break up the trip. Being capped at 11 keeps it personal and respectful around the whales and dolphins.
One honest note: since May 2025 it no longer runs to Los Gigantes or Masca, so if you specifically want those cliffs, a catamaran trip suits you better. For a fast, focused wildlife trip with a snorkel stop, though, this is a great pick, and it comes with our Best Price Guarantee and honest local support.
Fast boat, small group, whales, dolphins and a snorkel stop, that is a legendary morning on the water.
