For first-timers, this trip is a taste of Lanzarote’s best. Let’s explore!
Islote de Hilario and Timanfaya National Park
Ready for an epic adventure? Next up on our southern Lanzarote journey is Timanfaya! First, you’ll witness the magic of geothermal shows at Islote de Hilario. Watch water turn into geysers and dry brush ignite from the ground’s heat. Often called the “Fire Mountains,” Timanfaya is Lanzarote’s top spot. We’ll follow a trail leading right through the heart of its majestic volcanoes. Fancy a quirky twist? Opt for a camel ride within Timanfaya (not included). This tour is all about fun and fiery landscapes! Join us!
Discover La Geria Vineyards
After a stop for lunch near Mancha Blanca’s Los Dolores church or in Yaiza village, next stop is La Geria. A must-see on our Lanzarote trip. It’s between Timanfaya Park and Jameos del Agua. Here, vineyards sit inside unique lava walls, a Lanzarote signature. Many top Lanzarote wineries are here. Some wines, especially from Malvasia and Muscat grapes, are among Spain’s best. We’ll stop in La Geria for a wine tasting. Join us!
Stop at La Corona Volcano
La Corona Volcano, located in northern Lanzarote, is one of the island’s most impressive natural wonders. This dormant volcano is famed for its breathtaking views and the large lava tube, Cueva de los Verdes, that it created during an eruption thousands of years ago. Explorers and tourists are often drawn to its unique landscape, offering both a testament to Lanzarote’s fiery past and the enduring beauty that emerges from nature’s raw power. A visit to La Corona offers a deep dive into the geological tapestry of the Canary Islands.
Experience The Magic of Jameos del Agua
Ready for a grand finale? Next, we hit Jameos del Agua! A top spot you can’t miss in Lanzarote. Located up north, this giant cave is a natural wonder. Thanks to nature’s art and a touch by local hero César Manrique, it’s a showstopper. Just remember, swimming is not allowed here. End your Lanzarote tour with a bang!
