- Usually about 35 minutes before your start, the exact time and place are on your second ticket.
- Enter your hotel name, not an address. In an Airbnb, write the nearest hotel.
- Near the camel and horse-riding centre by Yaiza, easy to find with free parking. Open on Google Maps.
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure.
- Original driving licence for each driver. A physical card, or a digital licence (Gov.uk, DGT and similar) plus your physical passport or ID. Photos or copies alone are not accepted.

How many people fit in the buggy?
This is the 4-seat buggy, so up to 4 people ride together in one vehicle, ideal for a family, two couples or four friends. What is the difference between the On-Road tour and the MIX tour?
The On-Road tour (2.5 hours, 160€ per buggy) is a smooth scenic drive on paved roads through the Timanfaya volcanic area, the villages and the La Geria vineyards, with photo stops on the coast. No dust. The MIX tour (3 hours, 250€ per buggy) uses the same 4-seat buggy but adds off-road dirt tracks and a 25-minute stop at Gran Karting, so it is more adventurous and you will get dusty. Both are guided and both seat 4.
Where does the buggy tour go?
You drive through Lanzarote's volcanic landscape, past traditional villages and the Timanfaya area, with a stop at the famous La Geria vineyards where vines grow in black volcanic ash. The On-Road tour also visits the coast at Los Hervideros and El Golfo, where the Atlantic crashes through lava caves. The MIX tour adds off-road tracks around Puerto Calero, Tías and Masdache with a break at Gran Karting. Routes can shift a little with weather or local events, but the guide always keeps it scenic.
Will I get dusty?
No. This is an on-road scenic tour on smooth paved roads, so there is no dust and you do not need a bandana or goggles for dust. Just come ready to enjoy the views. What are the driver and age requirements?
Each driver needs an original driving licence, either a physical card, or a digital licence such as Gov.uk or DGT plus your physical passport or ID. Drivers must be 21 or over with a licence held for at least 2 years, and up to 2 people can drive one buggy. Passengers, including children, can join from age 7. No alcohol or drugs before driving.
Where does the tour start, and is hotel pickup available?
The meeting point is near the camel and horse-riding centre by Yaiza, with free parking, and you should arrive at least 10 minutes before departure. Optional round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off is 5€ per person, paid on arrival, from Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Puerto Calero. When you book, enter your hotel name, not an address, or the nearest hotel if you are in an Airbnb.
What is included, and are the photos free?
Included: your guided 4-seat buggy, a local guide, the safety briefing, safety goggles, a child booster seat when needed, fuel, and full insurance with no security deposit. The guide also takes photos on your own phone, so your photos are free. Not included: food and drinks at the Gran Karting stop on the MIX tour, and a bandana or buff, which you can buy on site.
What should I bring and wear?
Bring your original driving licence for each driver and your Club Canary ticket. Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes, as flip-flops are not allowed for drivers. On the MIX tour bring sunglasses and a bandana for the dust, and a jacket and sun cream are a good idea year-round. Do not wear good clothes on the MIX tour, you will get dusty.
Can we book buggies for a bigger group?
Yes. The price is per buggy, so a bigger group simply books several buggies together, for example two buggies for a group of up to 8. It works well for a birthday, a stag or hen group or a company outing. Message the Club Canary team with your group size and preferred date and we will arrange it, and group availability shows in the booking calendar.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel for free up to 48 hours before (or 4 days before for 4 or more buggies). After that: cancel 24 to 48 hours before and you lose the deposit only; cancel 12 to 24 hours before and you lose the deposit plus 60€ per buggy; cancel under 12 hours before, no-show or arrive too late and you lose the deposit and still pay 90% of the balance, because the buggy and guide are reserved for you. The only exception is a same-day doctor letter, which only covers the person who is ill, not the whole group.

No. This is a fully on-road scenic tour on smooth paved roads, so there is no off-road and no rough terrain. You drive through the Timanfaya volcano area, the Natural Park of the Volcanoes and the La Geria vineyards, with panoramic views the whole way. It lasts about 2.5 hours in a comfortable buggy that seats up to 4, from 160€. If you want dirt tracks, dust and more speed, that is our separate Lanzarote Buggy Safari with 2-seat off-road buggies.
Booking And Cancellation Policy
Deposit & Payment
- You reserve with a small deposit online and pay the balance on the day at the base, cash or card. The deposit is part of the total price.
- All buggies are fully insured, with no security deposit required.
Your Free Cancellation Window
- 1 to 3 buggies: cancel or reschedule for free up to 48 hours before the tour.
- 4 or more buggies: free up to 96 hours (4 days) before, because a bigger group is harder to refill.
- Cancellations go by email to office@clubcanary.com.
After Your Free Window Closes
- Between 24 and 48 hours before: you lose the full deposit. You pay nothing more.
- Between 12 and 24 hours before: you lose the full deposit, plus a fee of 60€ per booked buggy. We send a payment link.
- Less than 12 hours before, a no-show, or arriving too late: you lose the full deposit and still pay 90% of the arrival balance. Only the 10% for fuel you will not use is waived. We send a payment link.
- The buggy and guide are reserved and paid for your group either way, so the deposit alone can never cover a late cancellation.
No Excuses, With One Exception
- Traffic, an accident on the way, a missed pickup or simply running late are your own responsibility. No refund is given for these.
- The only exception is a genuine doctor or hospital letter, dated the same day, stating that the person cannot take part in the activity.
- Important: a doctor letter only covers that one person, not the whole group. For example, if four of you booked two buggies and one person is genuinely ill, at most one buggy may be adjusted, and even that depends on the situation. One sick person does not cancel the whole group's booking.
Driving Requirements
- Each driver needs an original driving licence (a physical card, or a digital licence plus physical passport or ID). Drivers must be 21+ with a licence held at least 2 years.
- No alcohol or drugs before driving. Anyone unfit to drive safely may be refused, with no refund.
Weather & Safety
- If the tour is cancelled by the operator for unsafe weather, you are offered a new date or a full refund. You never lose money when the operator cancels.
