Private Fishing Charter Fuerteventura, The Whole Boat Is Yours

Hire the Albakora Cat out of Caleta de Fuste for your group alone. A 12-metre boat taking up to 10 people, 129€ an hour, and you decide everything: 4 to 9 hours, and whether you want bottom fishing, trolling or big game. All the tackle is provided and beginners are genuinely welcome.

This is a working fishing boat, not a sightseeing cruise, and below we are honest about who that suits and who it does not. Scroll on, we hold nothing back.

💜 Why Book With Club Canary

You reserve with a deposit rather than paying everything upfront, and free cancellation runs up to 4 days before, which is more generous than most charters. We are a local team based in the Canary Islands and we know this boat and this captain first-hand. Best Price Guarantee included. Rated 4.8/5 from 1,360+ verified reviews.

129€ per hour for the whole boat. 4 to 9 hours. Up to 10 people.

Fishing Charter Fuerteventura Prices, 129€ Per Hour

One rate for the boat, not per person: 129€ an hour, minimum four hours. So the total is yours to set, and with a group aboard the per-head cost drops fast.

What The Hours Cost

4 Hours, 516€The minimum charter. Around 52€ each with 10 people aboard. Enough time to reach the grounds and fish properly.
6 Hours, 774€Around 77€ each at 10 people. The sweet spot if you want a real go at the bigger species.
9 Hours, 1161€Around 116€ each at 10 people. A full day out for a serious group.
PaymentA deposit reserves your date, and the balance is settled before the trip begins. Cash is the preferred method on the day, so bring it along with a card.

✅ Club Canary Best Price Guarantee

The point of the hourly rate: you are not buying a seat on somebody else's schedule. Two of you can take the boat for four hours, or ten of you can take it for nine. Same rate either way.

Bringing a group of 8 or 10? This is where a private charter stops being a splurge and starts being sensible.

The Albakora Cat, 12 Metres And Up To 10 People

The Albakora Cat is a 12-metre fishing boat with genuine deck space, based at Castillo harbour in Caleta de Fuste. It takes up to 10 people, and on a private charter that means just you, your group and the crew. Nobody else aboard.

There are sunny spots and shaded seating, a toilet and a changing room, and you will be asked to take your shoes off, which are stored safely until you are back in port. The crew speaks several languages and the boat holds all the licences it needs.

⚠️ Not suitable for wheelchairs. There is no space for them on board. The trip is also not recommended for expecting mothers or very young children, and we would rather tell you now than at the gate.

The private fishing charter in Fuerteventura is the Albakora Cat, a 12-metre boat from Caleta de Fuste taking up to 10 people for 129€ per hour with a four hour minimum. You choose the duration, from 4 to 9 hours, and the fishing style, whether bottom fishing, trolling or big game. All tackle is provided, no experience is needed, ages run from 5 to 80, and free cancellation applies up to 4 days before the trip.

Choose Your Fishing Style And Your Hours

This is the real advantage of taking the whole boat. Nothing is set by a timetable or by what the rest of a group wants, so you tell the captain what you want to do and he takes you where that works.

Bottom Fishing

  • Anchored or drifting over structure.
  • More bites, more variety, steadier action.
  • The friendliest option for beginners and children.

Red snapper and reef species.

Trolling

  • Lures pulled behind the moving boat.
  • Covers ground, relaxed between strikes.
  • A good middle ground for a mixed group.

Tuna and pelagic species.

The big one

Big Game Fishing

  • Heavy tackle, offshore, chasing the large species.
  • Long quiet stretches, then everything happens at once.
  • Book more hours for this. Four is tight.

Marlin and tuna territory.

Not sure? Tell the captain your group and he will pick. With children aboard, bottom fishing keeps everyone interested.

Mixing it up across a longer charter is completely normal, and it is another reason the 6 or 9 hour options are worth the extra.

Big Game Fishing Fuerteventura, Marlin, Tuna And Red Snapper

The Atlantic off Fuerteventura holds proper fish. Depending on the season and the style you choose, the realistic targets are marlin, tuna and red snapper, with plenty of other Atlantic species besides. Dolphins turn up sometimes and whales occasionally, though neither is ever promised.

Being straight about the fishing itself: catch and release applies to certain species, and the decision on each fish is the captain's. That is how a licensed charter operates here and it is the reason there are still fish to catch.

Honest note: tackle, grounds and local knowledge are included. A catch is not. Some days the rods do not stop, some days you get sunburnt and a story. Anyone guaranteeing you a marlin is selling something.

Fishing Fuerteventura Caleta De Fuste, Where You Leave From

You sail out of Castillo harbour in Caleta de Fuste on the east coast, which puts the grounds within easy reach and makes a four hour charter genuinely worthwhile rather than mostly travel.

Meeting Point: Av. Castillo, 15, 35610 Castillo Caleta de Fuste, Las Palmas. Open in Google Maps.

Departure: from 09:00, with a minimum of four hours.

Arrive 15 minutes early so payment and ticket checks are done before the boat leaves rather than after.

Finding us: a Club Canary guide meets you at the gate and takes you to the boat.

Is This The Right Trip For You?

We would rather you read this and book something else than turn up expecting a different day. This is a working fishing boat.

The crew are fishermen, not entertainers. They are genuinely skilled at big game fishing and they are not always the chattiest people on the water. Their focus is putting fish on your line, and honestly that is what you want from them.

It is a real fishing boat, so dress for it. Clothes you do not mind getting splashed, and shoes you can take off.

Seasickness happens and the trip continues. Any change is the captain's call, and there are no refunds for seasickness. Eat something beforehand, skip the alcohol, and take a tablet 30 minutes before departure if you are sensitive.

Watching a tuna come aboard is part of it. That is the appeal for most people and it is not for everyone. Worth deciding before you book rather than on the deck.

Beginners are properly welcome. No experience needed, and the captain helps as much as you want. Ages 5 to 80, and under 18s need an adult with them.

Want a gentler day on the water instead? A boat trip with a swim stop or the private catamaran in Morro Jable asks nothing of you at all.

Club Canary's Honest Take

Real talk from your local team in the Canary Islands

Real talk: at 129€ an hour for the whole boat this is better value than people assume. Ten of you on a four hour charter is about 52€ each, with all the tackle and a captain who knows the grounds. For a private boat where your group sets the hours and the style, that is a genuinely fair number.

If you can stretch to six hours rather than four, do. Four is enough to fish properly, but six is where you can actually change style if the bottom fishing goes quiet, and where big game becomes realistic rather than hopeful.

Two honest things. The crew are fishermen, not tour guides. They are excellent at what they do and they are not there to chat, which we think is the right way round. And this is a working boat, so expect splashes, expect the smell of bait, and expect to see a tuna land on the deck. That is the appeal, and if it does not sound like your day, a boat trip with a swim stop will suit you far better.

Your boat, your hours, your style of fishing. No catch promised, plenty of chances.
