Diving Course Policy Tenerife
Booking your Open Water Course Tenerife with Club Canary means you accept this policy. We want everything clear so you know exactly how it works.
Cancellation and Refund Terms
- If you cancel more than 7 days before your course: 40 % of your down payment will be refunded. 60 % is kept to cover costs already made.
- Cancelling 3–7 days before the start: No refund of the down payment.
- Cancelling 12 hours to 3 days before: No refund of the down payment, plus a fine of 150€ per person.
- Cancelling less than 12 hours before or no-show: No refund of the down payment, plus a fine of 225€ per person.
Missing a Day of Your Course
If you miss the first day but want to continue on the second day, you need to speak directly with the diving school in Puerto Colón. They’ll do their best to find a solution but extra costs may apply.
Important Notes for Your Diving License Tenerife
- Once the course starts, there are no refunds. The instructors, study materials, and equipment are prepared for you.
- The PADI Open Water Course Tenerife is planned as a 2-day course, but in bad weather or illness it can extend to 3 days at the instructor’s discretion.
- You must have basic swimming skills. If you can’t swim well or aren’t fit for diving, refunds are not possible.

- If you decide to stop early or feel the diving course is not for you, you’ll need to discuss this with the diving center directly. Club Canary cannot process refunds once the activity has started.
