Tour Information
- Provide Your Details: After booking, please leave your height and weight in the order notes so we can prepare the right bicycle for you.
- Bring Your Ticket: You’ll need your Club Canary ticket to join the tour. It can be shown on your phone or printed out.
- Payment Reminder: Make sure to carry some cash with you, as the tour requires final payment before it begins.
- Children: Guests under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Dress Comfortably: Wear comfortable sports clothes and, if needed, bring a vest or jacket to stay warm, temperatures at El Teide can be cooler.
- Tour Duration: The Teide mountain biking tour lasts approximately 4-5 hours.
- Pick-Up Information: Pick-up is usually between 09:45 and 10:15 in the morning. If you prefer an afternoon tour, let us know in the order notes when booking, and we’ll do our best to arrange it.
- Additional Stops: The tour includes a stop at a local restaurant on the way back, where you can use the toilet, smoke if you wish, or change clothes.
- Guide and Language: The tour guide speaks English and Spanish to ensure you fully enjoy the experience.
- Bike Quality: The bikes provided are functional and comfortable but not high-performance or professional level mountain bikes.

Tenerife MTB Tours Policy
Our bike excursion is open to everyone between the ages of 8 and 70. You don’t need to be extremely fit, but you should feel comfortable riding a bike. Please note that individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to join the tour for safety reasons.
Cancellation Policy
- Small Groups (5 people or fewer): Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before departure.
- Larger Groups (more than 5 people) or Private Tours: Free cancellation is allowed up to 4 days (96 hours) before the tour starts.
If You Cancel or Fail to Show Up:
- Within 48 hours for small groups (or 4 days for larger groups): You will forfeit your deposit.
- Between 7 and 24 hours before the tour for small groups (or 14 to 48 hours for larger groups): You will lose your deposit and be charged an additional fee of 20€ per person (40€ per person for larger groups).
- Less than 6 hours before the tour (or 12 hours for larger groups) or if you do not show up: You will forfeit your deposit and be charged an additional fee of 40€ per person to cover the associated costs.
At Club Canary, we make booking your Downhill bike tour Tenerife simple by allowing you to secure your spot with just a down payment. However, please understand that this down payment doesn’t come close to covering the costs of a no-show or late cancellation. In most cases, full payment is required upfront for such experiences, but we’ve created this policy—which you agree to when booking—to strike a fair and reasonable balance for both parties. Important Notes
- This is an on-road bike tour. Please manage your expectations. It is not an off-road experience, and feedback like “I expected more action” or “I wanted to ride through the woods” will not be entertained or refunded.
- While some pictures on our website may show riders posing off-road, these are taken during stops and do not represent the nature of the tour.
- The bikes provided are functional and well-maintained but not high-performance or top-level models. Claims such as “I didn’t like the bike” or requests for refunds due to equipment quality will not be accepted.
Safety and Responsibility
- Club Canary handles your booking but is not responsible for incidents that occur during the tour. If any issues arise, please address them directly with Mr. Bike, the tour operator, on the day of the tour.
Timeliness
- Hotel pick-ups are scheduled carefully to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. Please arrive on time as latecomers may miss the tour without a refund + a penalty. Pick-up service is only available in the south of Tenerife, specifically in the main tourist areas: Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas, and Los Cristianos.
- If you are staying outside these areas, you will need to meet us at the designated meeting point: the BP gas station in front of Siam Mall shopping centre. This location offers a large parking area, making it convenient for the pick-up vehicle with the bike trailer. Here is the exact meeting point location on Google Maps.

From an altitude of 2,180 meters, your group will begin a descent of nearly 40 kilometers through fragrant pine forests, desert wastelands, lunar landscapes and beautiful towns and Canarian villages. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide from Mr bike and followed by a follow car to carry any bags or belongings you may have brought.
Downhill Bike Trip of Approximately 2.5 Hours
The total descent of the Teide mountain biking ride takes about two and a half hours, stopping about every 5 km to take in the scenery and have a hot or cold drink. Once you arrive at your final destination we will drop you off at your accommodation.
