The Teide Cable Car Add-On
A Teide cable car visit can be requested as part of the private experience. It is not included in the standard price, but it can be added on request. Cable car tickets, timing and availability depend on the official Teide cable car schedule and the weather, so we always check your date before promising anything.

Private Sunset Quad Experience
At 3718 metres, Mount Teide is the highest peak in Spain and one of the great sunset spots on the island. On the sunset version of the private trip you time the ride so the golden hour catches you at altitude, then roll home through the pine forest in the last light. Bring warm clothing, it gets cold near Teide when the sun goes down.

Good To Know, Times And Rules
How It Works: book online with full payment, then a Club Canary tour manager contacts you to plan the route, the timing and the extras. You receive a confirmation with every detail before the day.
Departure Times: 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, or sunset timing depending on the season. Exact start times can depend on the route, season, sunset time, group size and availability. Club Canary confirms the right timing after booking.
Licences: every driver must be 18 or older with a valid FULL car licence held for at least 1 year, original document. UK provisional licences are not accepted. Passengers need no licence.
Kids: children from 7 years old and at least 120 cm tall ride as passengers with a licensed adult.
Limits: maximum 160 kg per quad. Not recommended during pregnancy. Riding under the influence means no ride and no refund.
Pickup: pickup is available in selected areas of south Tenerife. Provide your hotel name or full address when booking. For special pickup locations or larger groups, Club Canary confirms the logistics after booking.
What To Wear: closed shoes, long trousers and a warm layer, especially for sunset plans. It cools down fast at altitude.
Weather: the team only rides in safe conditions. If they cancel for weather or safety, you choose a new date or receive a full refund.

Can the private quad trip include off-road sections?
Selected off-road sections may be possible on certain private routes, depending on the itinerary, local rules and partner confirmation. The Teide National Park route itself is mainly a scenic paved mountain route, because off-road driving in protected areas is not allowed, and Club Canary is honest about that before you book.
Do all drivers need a licence for the private quad trip?
Yes. Every driver must be 18 or older and bring a valid FULL car driving licence, original document, held for at least 1 year. UK provisional licences are not accepted. You can cancel for free up to 8 days before the tour, and after that a fair refund ladder applies, shown clearly on the booking page. If the team cancels for weather or safety, you choose a new date or receive a full refund from Club Canary.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Thank you for booking your private quad trip with Club Canary. These terms exist because the quad team reserves the whole day exclusively for your group, and fairness works both ways.
Full Payment & Exclusivity
The private hire is paid in full in advance. From that moment the quads, the guides and the day are blocked for your group only, and other requests for that date are turned away.
Free Cancellation
Cancel or reschedule 8 days or more before the tour: full refund, no questions.
Refund Ladder
4 to 8 days before: 80% refund.
2 to 4 days before: 60% refund.
24 to 48 hours before: 30% refund.
Less than 24 hours before: 10% refund. Less than 1 hour before, or a no-show: no refund.
Private Hire Reality
Traffic problems, oversleeping or one person in the group falling ill are not valid refund reasons on a private hire, because the whole day stays reserved for you either way. If something serious happens that is truly not your fault, this is exactly what travel insurance exists for, and we gladly help you with the paperwork it needs.
Conduct & Safety
Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or showing unsafe behaviour, are refused without a refund. Cutting the day short does not create a partial refund, the fleet was reserved for you. Safety decisions by the team on the day are final.

If the team cancels for weather or safety, you choose a new date or receive a full refund from Club Canary.
