Every private stargazing booking with Club Canary includes private hotel pickup in South Tenerife, a private van for your group only, an English-speaking stargazing guide, Celestron Evolution telescopes reserved for your group, and warm coats, gloves and hats. The Sunset Edition adds a picnic of Canarian tapas bought from local shops, with wine, cava, beer and soft drinks, served outdoors. The Late Night Edition includes snacks, desserts and drinks instead. To be clear about it: the picnic is a light outdoor meal, not a restaurant dinner, and the van is comfortable and practical rather than a luxury vehicle.

The Private Stargazing + Sunset experience starts around 17:00, lasts about 5 hours and includes sunset views with a tapas picnic. The Late Night Private Stargazing Experience starts around 23:30, lasts about 3 hours, focuses more on the sky itself and includes free astrophotography photos. The Late Night Edition costs less because it does not include the sunset stop or the tapas picnic, and it runs about 3 hours instead of 5. You still get the same fully private format, the same Celestron telescopes and the same guide, plus drinks, snacks, desserts and free astrophotography photos. Club Canary's view: after midnight the sky is at its darkest, so if you care more about the stars than about the food, this is the one to take.

Both work well, but the Late Night Edition is the more romantic of the two. Dinner first, then a calm private night under the darkest sky of the evening, with free astrophotography photos so you come home with something real. Couples who want sunset, food and a longer complete evening usually choose the Sunset Edition instead. The Sunset Edition pickup follows the sunset, around 18:15 in summer and earlier in winter, returning about 5 hours later. The Late Night Edition runs around 23:30 to 02:30 all year. Pickup from Puerto de la Cruz and other northern or remote areas is possible on the sunset version for an extra supplement per booking, shown on this page. The sunset and the picnic normally take place at a viewpoint on the western slope above Guía de Isora, looking out over the ocean. It is a beautiful spot, and Club Canary will be straight with you: it is well below the summit of Teide and not above the cloud layer. After dark the guide moves the group higher for the telescope session, normally inside Teide National Park. If wind, cloud or road access make that a poor choice on your night, the whole evening stays at the lower viewpoint instead. No fixed altitude or route is promised, because the guide picks the clearest sky rather than the highest number. For the evening it is yours and nobody else's. Club Canary just wants the word "private" to mean the right thing: the van carries your group alone, rather than being a chauffeur-driven luxury car. On a good night: the Moon in real detail, one or two planets, star clusters and constellations, and the Milky Way when the season and the moon phase allow. On a bright moon night you will see less, because the moon washes out anything faint, and that is astronomy rather than a shortcut. A realistic session is a handful of objects looked at properly with your guide explaining each one, not a long list rushed through. It is a picnic rather than a dinner, but nobody goes hungry, there is plenty of it. The Sunset Edition includes Canarian tapas from local shops: cheeses, cured meats, bread, olives, fruit and sweets, with wine, cava, beer and soft drinks, set up outdoors while the sun goes down. Club Canary will be clear about the limits: nothing is heated, there are no plated courses and there is no table service, because there is no kitchen on a mountain and cooking is not allowed up there.
