Coming soon: a sixth trip from Los Cristianos. Club Canary is adding a new jet ski trip that starts in Los Cristianos. It is being set up right now and lands on this page within a few weeks. Want to know the moment it opens? Message us and we tell you first.

Every trip is guided, that is the law in Tenerife and the reason the ocean here stays fun. Life jackets included, briefing before every ride, you drive your own machine behind the guide. Prices checked October 2026, the live price is always on the booking page.

Real Talk Before You Book

Three things that caused confusion in the past. We would rather tell you now than hear it at the marina.

The video you sawSaw a jet ski video on our TikTok or Instagram? Check which trip it is before you book.

We post videos from all our jet ski trips, here and on the other islands, and they do not always look the same as the trip you pick. Big cliffs and rock walls is Los Gigantes, west coast, about one hour, no pickup. Open ocean with the southern resorts behind you is Las Galletas, the 1-hour ride or the 2-hour safari. Each trip has its own route, price and rules, so look at the photos and read the page.

Not sure which one you saw? Send us the video on WhatsApp and we tell you in one minute.

Dolphins and whalesDolphins are not part of any jet ski trip. We do not chase them and we do not promise them.

If they show up, the guide cuts the engines and the group watches from a distance. That is the rule and we like it: the ocean is their home, we are the guests. Lucky if it happens, completely fine if it does not.

Want to see the whales properly? Take a whale watching boat trip, that is what those are for.

What the 2-hour safari isThe 2-hour safari is a ride, not a sightseeing tour.

No guide explaining the coast, no caves, no commentary. Open ocean, waves, speed, beaches and cliffs passing by, two hours on your own machine with a few calm moments to look around and swap drivers. Is it a postcard? Not really. Is it fun? Very, and never circles in a roped-off box.

Want views first and speed second? That is Los Gigantes or the 3-hour cliff route from Costa Adeje.

Which Jet Ski Trip Should You Choose?

Club Canary's honest take. First time and you can spare the morning, take the 2-hour safari. Short on time, take the hour. Staying near Puerto Colón, walk to the Costa Adeje departure. Want the cliffs you saw in the video, that is Los Gigantes, and it is a different trip from the 1-hour ride. Couples: one double jet ski, swap halfway. Want nobody else on the water, go private.

Good To Know Before You Ride

Licence and ages

No licence is needed on any of these trips, every one is guided. Driving age is 16 on the Las Galletas, Costa Adeje and private trips, 18 in Los Gigantes (16 with parental authorisation). Children ride as passengers with an adult from 7, or from 8 in Los Gigantes. Under 24? Bring ID. Exact rules are on every trip page and we check them with you when booking.

Pickup, which trips have it

The 1-hour ride and the 2-hour safari include pickup from a meeting point near your hotel in Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and Costa Adeje, and the private trip includes hotel pickup for up to 8 guests. Costa Adeje and Los Gigantes have no pickup: you walk or drive to the marina. Staying somewhere else? Message us on WhatsApp and we check the nearest option.

Phones, cameras and photos

Phones and cameras stay on land on every trip, both hands on the bars. Storage is available at each base. The group trips offer an optional action photo package on the day, shot from the guide boat. On the private trip the photos are included free.

Deposit, cancellation and weather

Group trips are reserved with a small deposit and the rest is paid at the base, cash or card. Free cancellation inside the window shown on each trip page, and the window grows with the number of jet skis. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged, the jet skis were held for you. If the operator cancels for sea conditions, you move the date or get your money back.

Summer and busy weeks

July, August and September are the busiest months on the water. Book at least 4 days ahead to lock your day, time and jet skis. Outside summer a day or two is usually enough, and last-minute places are often possible, ask us first.

What to bring

Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and your ticket on your phone. Life jackets are included and mandatory, wetsuits are available at the base. No alcohol before the ride, guests who have been drinking are refused without refund.

Jet Skiing Tenerife: Frequently Asked Questions

Quick, honest answers to what guests ask us most before booking a jet ski trip in Tenerife. Still stuck? Message the local team on WhatsApp.

What is the best jet ski trip in Tenerife?

For most first-time visitors the best jet ski trip in Tenerife is the 2-hour jet ski safari from Las Galletas: the longest guided ocean route of the group trips, with pickup from a point near your hotel in the south. Guests near Puerto Colón prefer the Costa Adeje departure, scenery lovers choose Los Gigantes, and groups who want nobody else on the water book the private trip. Club Canary compares all five honestly on this page.

Is one hour or two hours better for jet skiing in Tenerife?

One hour is ideal for quick action and smaller budgets, two hours gives the complete ocean experience with more coastline and more riding time. The honest Club Canary rule: first-timers who can spare the morning rarely regret the 2-hour safari. Friends who each want their own machine and a short, strong session usually take the 1-hour ride.

I saw a jet ski video on the Club Canary TikTok or Instagram, which trip is it?

Good question, because we post videos from all our jet ski trips, in Tenerife and on the other islands, and a video does not always say which one it is. Quick guide for Tenerife: big cliffs and rock walls is the Los Gigantes safari on the west coast, about one hour, no pickup. Open ocean, waves and the southern resorts in the background is Las Galletas, the 1-hour ride or the 2-hour safari. A marina full of boats and hotels right behind it is Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje. One group alone with its own boat is the private trip. Each trip has its own route, price and rules, so always check the photos and description on the trip page before you book. Fastest way: send the video to Club Canary on WhatsApp and we tell you in one minute which trip it is.

Will I see dolphins or whales on a jet ski trip in Tenerife?

Dolphins and whales are not part of any jet ski trip, and Club Canary does not promise them. The guides never chase marine life. If animals appear, the guide cuts the engines and the group watches from a distance, which is the rule and the right thing to do. If you want to see the resident pilot whales properly, book a whale watching boat trip, that is what those are for.

What do you actually see on the 2-hour jet ski safari?

Ocean. The 2-hour safari is a ride, not a sightseeing tour: there is no guide explaining the coast, no caves and no commentary. You follow the guide boat along the south coast, jump waves, open the throttle on the long stretches, see beaches and volcanic cliffs pass by, and get calm moments to look around and swap drivers on a double. It is not a postcard, it is a lot of fun, and it is never circles in a roped-off box.

Which jet ski tours in Tenerife include hotel pickup?

The 1-hour ride and the 2-hour safari from Las Galletas include pickup from a meeting point near your hotel in Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and Costa Adeje, and the private trip includes hotel pickup for up to 8 guests. The Costa Adeje and Los Gigantes departures have no pickup: guests walk or drive to the marina.

Where is the best place to jet ski in Tenerife?

South Tenerife is the island's jet ski heartland. Las Galletas has the long guided rides with pickup, Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje is the most convenient walk-in departure, and Los Gigantes has the most dramatic scenery with cliffs up to 600 metres. Club Canary compares all of them on this page and books each one directly, so you pick by where you stay and what you want, not by who shouts loudest.

Do you need a licence to jet ski in Tenerife?

No. Every jet ski trip in Tenerife is guided by law, so no driving licence is needed. You get a safety briefing before departure and follow a professional guide on the water while driving your own machine. Driving ages differ per trip, from 16 on most departures and 18 in Los Gigantes, and under 24s should bring ID. The exact rules are on every trip page.

Can two people share one jet ski in Tenerife?

Yes. Double jet skis carry two people on every trip Club Canary offers, and on most routes you can swap drivers at calm moments when the guide allows it. Prices are per jet ski, not per person, so a double is the cheapest way for couples and friends to ride. Solo riders book a single jet ski instead.

Is jet skiing in Tenerife safe for beginners?

Yes. All trips are guided, life jackets are mandatory and included, and the briefing keeps the controls simple. The jet skis are modern Sea-Doo models set to a strong but safe speed that beginners handle within minutes. Tell the Club Canary team it is your first time and the guide keeps a closer eye on you until you find your rhythm.

Can children join a jet ski trip in Tenerife?

Yes, as passengers with an adult on a double jet ski. Children ride from 7 years on the Las Galletas, Costa Adeje and private trips, and from 8 years in Los Gigantes, where a minimum height and a combined weight limit also apply. Club Canary lists the exact rules on every trip page and checks them with you when booking, so no family gets a surprise at the marina.

Can I bring my phone or GoPro on the jet ski, and are photos included?

Phones and cameras stay on land on every trip, both hands stay on the bars, and storage is available at each base. On the group trips the crew offers an optional action photo package on the day, shot from the guide boat. On the private trip the professional photos are included free, with the compliments of Club Canary.

Is there a completely private jet ski tour in Tenerife?

Yes. Club Canary arranges a fully private jet ski trip where no other customers join: the guide boat, the route and the pace belong to your group only, with Sea-Doo jet skis, free professional photos and pickup for up to 8 guests. It is the choice for couples who want the ocean to themselves, families, company outings and celebrations.

Does Club Canary also offer jet skiing on the other Canary Islands?

Yes. Club Canary was born in Tenerife in 2019 and jet ski trips were one of the first things we ever booked, so by now we are the old hands of jet skiing in the Canaries: we know the marinas, the guides and the honest version of every ride. Tenerife has the biggest choice, with the five trips on this page. In Gran Canaria we book a guided jet ski safari along the coast from Puerto Rico. In Lanzarote there are guided rides from Puerto del Carmen. In Fuerteventura you can ride from Morro Jable in the south or from Corralejo in the north, plus a short jet ski hire for a quick blast. Same local team, same honest prices, same WhatsApp number on every island.
