At Club Canary, we aim to make renting a luxury car in Tenerife smooth and enjoyable. Below are the detailed policies and information you need to know before renting a car from us:

Staying on the Island

• Our rental cars are for use only on Tenerife. If you plan to travel to other islands and have the car for more than 3 days, contact us in advance. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your plans, availability cannot be guaranteed.

Kilometer Policy

• Our rentals include plenty of free kilometers to let you explore the island extensively! However, to prevent misuse, additional kilometers beyond the limit will be charged at 3€ per kilometer. The included kilometers vary depending on your rental duration, so be sure to check the details in the car description when booking.

Safety Deposit

A safety deposit is required for all luxury car rentals.

• The deposit can be paid in cash or by card at the time of delivery.
• It will be fully refunded after the car is returned in good condition.
• The deposit is essential to cover incidents like traffic fines, lost keys, or damages not included in the insurance.

Getting Your Car

• We offer free delivery to hotels or specified locations in South Tenerife.
• For non-hotel stays, choose a well-known nearby meeting point.
• Deliveries to North Tenerife (e.g., Santa Cruz or Puerto de la Cruz) can be arranged for rentals longer than 3 days, with fees starting at 95€.
• Please be on time for your pick-up and keep your phone handy for any last-minute communication.

Rental Duration

• The minimum rental period for luxury cars is 24 hours.
• We do not offer shorter rental durations.

Gasoline Policy

• Cars must be returned with the same amount of gasoline as when delivered.
• Most cars are delivered with a nearly empty tank, so you’ll likely need to refuel shortly after pick-up.
• Delivery staff will explain the type of petrol needed and direct you to the nearest gas station.
• Note: Fuel prices in Tenerife are significantly cheaper than in other European countries!

What You Can’t Do With the Car

• Off-road driving is strictly prohibited, as it’s not covered by insurance.
• Damage caused by improper driving practices (e.g., drifting) or lost keys is not covered.
• Avoid leaving valuables in the car to prevent theft. If any damage occurs, contact us immediately for assistance.

• Keep in mind that driving in Tenerife requires basic English or Spanish communication skills to handle situations like minor accidents or police stops.

Cancellation Policy

• Free Cancellation: Up to 20 days before the booking date.
• 10–20 Days Before: Loss of 50% of the downpayment (7.5% of the booking total).
• 5–10 Days Before: Loss of the entire downpayment (15% of the booking total).
• 1–5 Days Before: Loss of the full downpayment (15%) plus an additional 125€ per day booked (up to 625€).
• Less than 24 Hours or No-Show: Loss of the full downpayment plus 250€ per day booked (up to 1000€).

Breakdowns During Your Rental Period

All rentals include 24/7 roadside assistance.

• If your car breaks down, contact your designated person immediately.
• We will promptly address the issue by arranging a replacement car, providing repairs, or offering compensation depending on the situation.
