Skills first, then two real dives.

A short skills session in shallow water, then two ocean dives where you learn to float, clear your mask and breathe slow. The water is 20 to 24 degrees all year.

Two more dives, then the certificate.

Deeper now, up to 18 metres, and one dive from the boat if the sea allows. Then the final check, the handshake, and a licence that never expires.

The dive centre sits in Los Cristianos, a short walk from the water, close to Las Américas and Costa Adeje. By the last dive the walk feels normal, and that is the moment you became a diver.

Course Booking & Cancellation Policy
In short: Cancel early and you only lose part of the deposit. Cancel late or do not show up, and you lose the deposit plus a per-person fee, because the dive school reserves your instructor, gear and place and charges us either way. Full ladder below.

Deposit & Payment

  • You pay a small deposit with Club Canary to reserve your place.
  • The balance is paid at the dive school in Los Cristianos before you start.

The Only Exception

  • The only exception is a real doctor or hospital paper that says you cannot join, dated before the activity or the same morning. Feeling unwell without it is not enough for a refund. We know this is strict, and we are sorry, but it is the only way we can protect against last-minute cancellations.

Cancellation Ladder (Dive School Terms)

  • More than 7 days before: 40% of your deposit refunded (60% is kept for preparation costs).
  • 3 to 7 days before: no refund of the deposit.
  • Between 12 hours and 3 days before: no refund of the deposit, plus a 150€ per person fee.
  • Less than 12 hours before, or a no-show: no refund of the deposit, plus a 225€ per person fee.
  • Once the course has started, no refunds are possible.

Course Conditions & Responsibility

  • The course is planned as 2 days, but may extend to 3 days due to weather or safety, at the instructor's discretion.
  • You must have basic swimming skills and be medically fit for diving, per the PADI Medical Statement.
  • If you stop the course early, this must be discussed with the dive center. Refunds are not possible once training has begun.
  • Guests who ignore safety instructions may be refused continuation without a refund.

Weather

  • Sea and weather conditions may affect dive planning. If changes or rescheduling are needed, the dive school and Club Canary coordinate a solution.

  • Your study materials are sent in advance so you can prepare. The theory is available in many languages, so confirm your language after booking.
