A small local team with a big reputation. Scenic, friendly, and easy to book, that is the Monster tour.
Monster Quad Tenerife, A Small Local Team With Big Reviews
Monster Quad Tenerife is a small local company from the south west of the island, with a 4.9 rating from more than 1,700 Google reviews. Guests name the guides in review after review, and on many sunset tours a guide plays music above the clouds. It is a personal, friendly operation, not a big machine with a perfect calendar, and that is exactly its charm. Read the Google reviews and you will see it yourself.
You check in at the base in Chío, the team checks the driving licences, you sign the papers, helmets are fitted and you get clear instructions. The quads are automatic and easy to learn, so beginners are welcome. Then the engines start.

First things first 🧢 Licence check, sign the papers, helmets fitted and clear instructions. Then you are ready to go.
Single Or Double Quad, Which One Fits You?
Take a single quad if you want your own machine, or a double quad if you are two, the favourite for couples. Drivers can swap on a double quad for a small 10€ fee paid at the garage, as long as both have a valid licence. Quad drivers must be 18 or older with a FULL car licence held for at least 1 year, original document in hand. UK provisional licences are not accepted.
Children from 7 years old and at least 1.20 m tall can join as passengers on a double quad, with an adult driving, so families can still come along. There are only 7 quads in the fleet, so book early, especially in summer.

Having fun is the whole point 😄 There are little breaks during the tour, so no worries. Look around, laugh, take it all in.
A Snack Break, With Honest Expectations
Halfway through there is a break with chips and a drink, and a jacket and gloves are included for the ride. It is a simple bite with a view, not a restaurant stop, and there are no shops on the route. If you are a big eater, bring your own extras and you are set.

The snack break 🥪 You will get hungry, and this is a simple bite, not a restaurant. Bring your own extras if you are a big eater.
Is This An Off-Road Teide Tour?
No, and Club Canary tells you before you pay. Off-road riding around Teide is prohibited by law, so the route follows quiet paved mountain roads with big volcano views. Some street sellers still promise mud and dirt tracks, and that is how people end up disappointed. Book it for what it really is, a scenic guided ride, and you will love it like the thousands of happy guests before you.
Photo Stops With Teide Views
The route climbs through pine forest and lava country, and the group stops at the top viewpoints on the way. On clear days you ride above the clouds. The guides know the spots and happily take pictures of you, so the memories come home with you.

Photo time 📸 Right in the middle of Teide country. You can make some really nice pictures here, no worries.
The Sunset Tour, The Famous One
The 18:30 departure is the one people talk about. Golden light through the pines on the way back, colours above the clouds, and on many evenings a guide plays music at the viewpoint. The sunset ride carries a supplement of 30€ per quad, paid on arrival, and it gets cold after the sun drops, so bring warm layers.

Monster Quad Questions (FAQ)
The questions people ask us most about the Monster Quad tour. Still unsure? Message our local team on WhatsApp, we help fast.
Is Monster Quad Tenerife worth it?
Yes, and the numbers back it up. Monster Quad & Buggy Tenerife holds a 4.9 rating from more than 1,700 Google reviews, and the Club Canary team has tested the tour ourselves. If you want a scenic guided ride toward Mount Teide with photo stops and fun guides, you will love it. If you are looking for a wild off road day, this is not that tour, and Club Canary tells you so before you book.
Is the Monster Quad Teide tour off road?
No. The tour follows scenic paved mountain roads toward Mount Teide, because off road riding in that area is prohibited by law. Club Canary explains this clearly on the booking page so nobody arrives with the wrong expectations.
Do I need a driving licence for Monster Quad Tenerife?
Yes. Every quad driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid FULL car licence for at least one year, and you must bring the original document. UK provisional licences are not accepted. Buggy drivers must be at least 21. Club Canary repeats this on your ticket, because no licence means no quad.
Can children join the Monster Quad tour?
Yes, as passengers. Children from 7 years old and at least 1.20 m tall can ride along with an adult. For families, Club Canary usually recommends the buggy, because it is the most comfortable way for kids to enjoy the views.
What is included in the Monster Quad tour?
Your booking includes the guided tour with a local team, helmet, jacket and gloves, plus a small snack and a drink during the break. It is a simple refreshment, not a full lunch, and there are no shop stops on the route, so Club Canary recommends bringing extra snacks or water if you want them.
Is hotel pickup included?
Pickup is an optional paid extra for the main south Tenerife resort areas, paid on the day. When you book with Club Canary, write your hotel name, not a street address. You can also drive to the base yourself, where there is free parking.
Are the quads automatic?
Yes. The quads are automatic and easy to learn, and every tour starts with a full safety briefing. Many Club Canary guests drive a quad for the first time on this tour and manage without any problem.
What should I wear on the Monster Quad tour?
Closed shoes, long trousers and a warm layer. It gets cold at altitude, especially on the way back and on sunset departures. Club Canary recommends packing a jacket even when the coast feels hot.
Is the sunset tour better than the morning tour?
They are different. The sunset tour is famous for the colors above the clouds and the best photos, but it is colder and carries a small supplement paid on arrival. The morning and afternoon tours are warmer and quieter. Club Canary can help you pick the right one for your group on WhatsApp.
Can couples share one quad?
Yes. The double quad is the favorite option for couples, and drivers can swap during the tour for a small fee paid at the garage, if both of you have a valid licence. Club Canary explains all the options clearly on the booking page.
Can families book a buggy instead of a quad?
Yes. There are buggies with 4 seats and bigger buggies for larger groups, and one adult drives while everyone else enjoys the ride. There is only one 4 seat buggy in the fleet, so Club Canary recommends booking it early.
Can I book Monster Quad Tenerife last minute?
Sometimes, but Monster Quad & Buggy Tenerife is a small local company and its calendar is not synchronized in real time. For bookings less than 48 hours ahead, Club Canary recommends a quick WhatsApp message first, so we can double check availability. You can also simply place the booking, and if the tour is full it is not accepted and nothing is charged. In summer, last minute spots are very rare, so book ahead.

Contact Club Canary and the team arranges it, with a small extra charge that covers the additional transaction and administration costs.
