Tigresa Yacht Tenerife Policy
Deposit & Payment
- When booking Tigresa Yacht Tenerife through Club Canary, a small deposit is required to secure your private charter. The deposit is deducted from the total charter price.
- The remaining balance is settled on the day of the trip, before departure. Payment can be made by card or cash.
- If you prefer to pay the full charter amount in advance and receive an official invoice, that is not a problem. Contact us directly to arrange this.
- Important: if you have paid the full amount in advance and need to cancel or modify your booking, the same cancellation rules apply as if you had booked with a deposit only. You will not be at a disadvantage for paying in full. Any refund is calculated using the same formula, based on how far in advance you cancel.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- For Tigresa charters up to 8 hours: free cancellation or rescheduling is available up to 8 days before departure. Cancellations made after this period result in loss of the full deposit.
- For charters longer than 8 hours: the free cancellation window extends to 12 days before departure. Cancellations made after this period result in loss of the full deposit.
- Rescheduling within the free cancellation window is possible subject to availability. Please contact us as early as possible.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows
- Cancellations made between 48 and 72 hours before departure: the full deposit is lost and an additional penalty of 250€ per booked hour applies.
- Cancellations made within 0 to 47 hours before departure, or no-shows: the full deposit is lost and an additional penalty of 400€ per booked hour applies.
- Arriving late without prior notice will reduce your sailing time accordingly. No refund is provided for time lost due to late arrival.
Illness & Exceptional Circumstances
- If a guest falls ill close to the departure date, please contact Club Canary immediately. We always try to help where we can.
- Illness is not an automatic grounds for cancellation without penalty. The rest of the group may still proceed with the charter as planned.
- To be considered for a rescheduling in exceptional circumstances, an official hospital document issued on the same day or the day after must be provided for every guest in the booking who is unable to attend. Rescheduling in these cases is at our discretion and penalties may still apply.
- Refunds or full waiving of penalties for illness-related cancellations are not standard and cannot be guaranteed. Please take this into account when booking.
Optional Extras Cancellation (Jet Ski, Bartender, DJ & Other Add-ons)
- Optional extras arranged through Club Canary (such as jet skis, a private bartender, or a DJ) are paid in full in advance at the time of arrangement.
- Free cancellation of extras is available up to 10 days before the charter date.
- Cancellations made 4 to 9 days before departure: 250€ is retained.
- Cancellations made less than 4 days before departure: 380€ is retained.
- These charges apply regardless of the reason for cancellation and are separate from the main charter cancellation terms above.
Punctuality & Conduct
- Please arrive on time to make the most of your charter. Sailing time begins at the scheduled departure, not at the time of boarding.
- If a delay is caused by the operator or crew, lost time will be added to your trip or compensated accordingly.
- All guests are expected to follow safety instructions and treat the crew and yacht with respect at all times.
- Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in early termination of the charter without refund.
Weather & Sea Conditions
- Tigresa Yacht operates only under safe sea and weather conditions. Guest safety is always the priority.
- If conditions make sailing unsafe, you will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund. Club Canary will contact you promptly if this applies.
Seasickness & Route Adjustments
- If seasickness requires the captain to adjust or shorten the route, no refund will be provided. Guests who are prone to motion sickness are advised to take preventive medication before boarding.
- Note: the Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser on board significantly reduces boat movement and makes the experience more comfortable than most yachts in this category.
