Cancellation Deadlines
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to office@clubcanary.com. The following deadlines apply based on group size:
- 1-3 people – cancel at least 48 hours before departure for a full refund
- 4-7 people – cancel at least 72 hours before departure for a full refund
- 8-14 people – cancel at least 6 days before departure for a full refund
- 15 or more people – cancel at least 8 days before departure for a full refund
Late Cancellations – Partial Refunds
If you cancel after the deadline above, the following partial refunds apply:
- 24 to 48 hours before departure – 17.50€ refunded per person
- 12 to 24 hours before departure – 10€ refunded per person
- Less than 12 hours before departure – no refund
No refund in any of these cases:
- No-show at pick-up
- Missed bus due to late arrival
- Cancellation within 12 hours of departure
Pick-up Rules
- Pick-up is from your hotel in Puerto de la Cruz only – no other locations
- You must be ready and waiting at the agreed time – the bus will not wait
- Missed pick-ups are non-refundable under any circumstances
- Your exact pick-up time and location are confirmed on your ticket after booking
Cable Car
- Cable car tickets are not included in this tour
- If you book the cable car separately and it is cancelled due to weather, Club Canary is not responsible for that refund – contact telefericoteide.com directly
Liability
- Any issues during the tour must be raised with the guide on the day
- Refunds for incidents during the tour are at the sole discretion of the bus operator

What You’ll See on This Teide Bus Tour
The route heads inland from Puerto de la Cruz through the Orotava Valley – one of the most scenic drives in Tenerife. As you climb, the landscape changes dramatically. By the time you reach Teide National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site – you’re at over 2,000 metres with views that stretch across the island.
The main stop is Roques de Garcia, where you have free time to walk the accessible path and take in direct views of Pico Viejo and Teide’s summit. Your official guide is on hand throughout to explain the volcanic history and point out what you’re looking at. Most guests say this stop alone is worth the trip.
⚡ What About the Cable Car?
The Teide cable car is optional and not included in the tour price. During your free time in the national park you can either explore the Roques de Garcia area on foot or take the cable car up to the summit crater. Both are good options – it just depends what you want to do with your time up there.
If you want the cable car, book your tickets in advance at telefericoteide.com – they sell out fast and you cannot buy them on the day at the park.
Honest tip: We usually don’t recommend booking the cable car for this tour. It gets cancelled very often due to strong winds at altitude – more often than most people expect. If it’s cancelled on the day you lose your ticket money and you’ve spent your free time waiting rather than exploring. Walking the Roques de Garcia path gives you a guaranteed experience and honestly the views from there are just as good.

It’s a half-day trip. You won’t see everything Teide has to offer in 5 hours, and that’s fine – that’s not what this tour is for. What it does well is get you up there without an early alarm, without renting a car, and without spending your whole day on it. Pickup is at noon. You’re back before dinner. Job done.
Not a full Teide day trip – but if you’re in Puerto de la Cruz and want to see the volcano without the early start, this is exactly what you need.
