Banana Boat Tenerife, Quick Facts
Tenerife's Classic Banana Boat, Pure Group Fun
Grab your crew and get ready to get wet. The Tenerife banana boat is a short, wild ride: up to 12 of you towed behind a speedboat, bouncing over the waves and laughing at each other the whole way. It leaves from Puerto Colón, it is easy, and it is a proper group laugh. Because the ride is short, it is worth pairing with another activity from the same harbour, and we make that simple.
Below: how it works, the honest ride time, the price, where it leaves from, and easy ways to make a full day of it.
Banana Boat Tenerife
A ride on the banana boat in Tenerife with friends or family is a classic water sport, and a guaranteed laugh. The banana boat is a big inflatable tube shaped like a banana, towed forward by a motorboat, and the whole point is doing it together as a group.
A Classic Since 1971
There are lots of inflatable-tube designs these days, but the banana boat is still by far the most famous. It has been a favourite since it was invented in 1971 in California, and it fits up to 12 people per ride, so your whole group goes together.
How Long Is The Banana Boat Ride?
The ride is hugely popular because it is a group activity, so you can all laugh at each other's reactions and get soaked together.
⏱ Honest Ride Time
A banana ride on the open ocean is a wild one: there are plenty of waves and the boat has real power. So 10 minutes is often plenty to have a great time. If your group has the energy for it, the 20-minute option gives you double the ride. Either way, expect to get wet and to laugh a lot.

Make A Full Day Of It
The banana boat is short, so it is worth pairing it with something else from the same harbour. For groups of 3 to 5, the Tenerife flying fish is a fun, rougher ride. Or add a jet ski ride or parasailing at Puerto Colón. And for a bigger day out, a whale watching tour leaves from nearby too.
Best Price Guarantee, a small deposit now and the rest on the day, and real people on WhatsApp every day from 08:00 to 22:00. Club Canary is the official ticket seller, a licensed local water sports team runs the ride. Rated 4.8/5 from 1,375+ verified reviews.

Club Canary's Honest Take
Real talk from your local team in the Canary Islands
Let's be straight: the banana boat is a short, silly, splashy blast, not a full excursion. Ten minutes of waves and laughing at each other is usually plenty, twenty if your group is really up for it.
It leaves from Puerto Colón, so the smart move is to bundle it with a jet ski run, parasailing or a whale watching trip from the same harbour. One booking, one local team, one great day.
Grab a group, expect to get wet, and just enjoy the daft fun of it.
