✅ Check-In & Payment on Arrival
Please arrive at gate 4 at least 15 minutes before your session to check in and pay the remaining balance on the day. Late arrivals may not be accommodated and no refund will apply.
👥 Shared Sessions
When you book an individual 20-minute session, you will most likely share the boat with other riders. Everyone takes turns on the board. So even though you book 20 minutes of riding time, you could easily be on the water for an hour or more in total. This is part of the experience.
🌊 Weather & Sea Conditions
Wakeboarding on the Atlantic depends on sea conditions. If conditions are not safe, only the captain of the boat can make the decision to cancel. This decision is final and is there for your safety. A personal preference for different weather is not a valid reason to cancel without penalty.
⛵ Extra Activities on the Private Boat
When you book the private boat, you can add extra activities on top of wakeboarding. These are not available on shared sessions. Water skiing is no longer offered. Currently available extras:
- Banana Boat: Multiple people can ride at the same time. Fun for groups of all ages. See pictures here.
- Crazy UFO: A round inflatable that spins and bounces on the water. Multiple people can go at the same time.
- Flyboarding: Done one person at a time. Swapping between people takes time, so if your group wants flyboarding and wakeboarding, plan carefully. More info and pictures here.
⚠️ Important: If you want any extras, you must tell us before booking. The crew needs to pack and prepare the equipment in advance. If you do not mention it, the session will be wakeboarding only. Also check the description tab for how much time each activity takes per person, especially for larger groups. Charter time runs fast when everyone wants a turn.
⚠️ Safety Notice
Wakeboarding on the open ocean is a physically demanding sport. You can fall hard, especially on waves. This activity is not suitable for beginners or people without wakeboard experience. By booking this session you confirm that you are aware of the risks involved. Club Canary and its partners are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur. We strongly recommend checking that your travel insurance covers water sports before booking.

Wakeboarding Tenerife: Real Ocean, Real Thrills
Tenerife wakeboarding takes place on the Atlantic Ocean, departing from Puerto Colón harbor, gate 4, right in the heart of Costa Adeje. The water here is not a lake. It moves. There are waves. And that is exactly what makes wakeboarding in Costa Adeje so different from anything you have done inland.
The Crew Is There to Guide You, Not to Teach You
The boat, the crew, and the setup are all professional. The crew will make sure you are safe and set up correctly. But they are not there to teach you how to wakeboard from scratch. If you already ride, you will love it. If you have never done it, honestly, this is not the place to start. The ocean does not forgive like a lake does, and 20 minutes is not enough time to learn the basics when you are also dealing with waves.
Shared and Private Wakeboarding Sessions
When you book an individual session, you will most likely share the boat with other riders. Everyone takes turns on the board while the rest watch from the boat. So even though you book 20 minutes of riding time, you could easily be out on the water for an hour or more in total. It is actually a great way to do it because you can watch others ride between your turns and enjoy the whole experience.
Individual sessions are 80€ for 20 minutes, with a 15€ deposit and 65€ paid on arrival.
For groups, the best option is a private boat. You can bring up to 8 people and take turns riding with no strangers on board. Private boat prices:
- 1 hour: 280€ (80€ deposit, 200€ on arrival).
- 2 hours: 530€ (130€ deposit, 400€ on arrival).
- 3 hours: 780€ (180€ deposit, 600€ on arrival).
- 4 hours: 1,030€ (230€ deposit, 800€ on arrival).
More Activities on the Private Boat
When you book the private boat, you can combine multiple activities during your session. On top of wakeboarding, the boat also offers inflatables like the banana boat and UFO, as well as flyboarding. These extra activities are only available on private bookings, not on shared sessions. Make sure you mention what you want in your order notes when booking.
🏄 How to Plan Your Private Session
- Inflatables (banana boat, UFO): Multiple people can ride at the same time, so these fit easily into any booking length.
- Wakeboarding and flyboarding: Done one person at a time. For a group where everyone wants a turn on both, we recommend at least 3 hours. If everyone takes 15 to 20 minutes each on wakeboarding, then again on flyboarding, with switches in between, time goes very fast.
- Shorter bookings (1 to 2 hours): Better to focus on one or two activities only. Trying to fit everything in will feel rushed and nobody gets enough time on the water.
- Price stays the same regardless of which activities you choose. Just mention your preferences clearly in the order notes when booking so everything can be arranged properly.
Who This Is For
This is for you if you wakeboard regularly, have solid board experience, and want to test yourself on ocean water. If you cannot go on holiday without getting on a board, book it. You will not regret it.
This is not for you if you have only tried it a couple of times, or never at all. The ocean conditions around south Tenerife wakeboarding areas like Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos are real open water. Falls on waves are hard. Save yourself the bruises and try one of the other water sports in Tenerife we recommend below instead.
Meeting Point
All wakeboard Tenerife sessions depart from Puerto Colón harbor, gate 4, Costa Adeje. Easy to find, close to all major hotels in the south. No transfer needed if you are staying nearby.

💬 Club Canary’s Honest Take
Wakeboarding in Tenerife is one of the most exciting water sports on the island, but only if you are ready for it. If you ride regularly and want to test yourself on real Atlantic ocean water, this is the one to book. It is raw, physical, and genuinely thrilling.
If you are new to it or only done it once or twice, please choose something else. Not because we don’t want your booking, but because we want you to actually have fun. The ocean around Puerto Colón and Costa Adeje is not forgiving for beginners, and 20 minutes on a rope in those conditions is not a lesson.
Experienced wakeboarder? Book it. First timer? Pick the jet ski or kayak. Either way, we’ve got you.
