You practise water starts until posture and timing come together, then you are up and skiing. Wetsuit, shoes and skis are all included.

Good To Know

Book early in your holiday. The ocean decides.

Sessions run from 10:00 to 18:00 at Puerto Colon, gate 4, for ages 8 to 70 with basic swimming skills. If waves or wind are too strong we contact you and reschedule, so book your session early in your trip.

Advanced rider? Tell us when you book and an advanced trainer joins the boat. Want privacy? A private charter gives you the boat and at least an hour of riding.

Water Skiing for Beginners in Tenerife

Water skiing is a fantastic sport to try out in Tenerife! Engaging in water skiing, you’ll find yourself skimming the water’s surface, towed behind a boat, on either two skis or a single ski. If you’re just starting, two skis might be easier to manage, but your instructor will guide you and provide tips to help you make the best choice.

Tenerife Water Ski Lessons

Your adventure begins as you take the boat out into the open sea, away from any obstacles. Everything you need will be ready and waiting for you, including advice on how to strap into your water skis. Then, it’s time for your first water starts. In the water, you’ll focus on mastering the timing and body posture necessary to stand up and ski on your own. Whether you choose a 15 or 30-minute session, you’ll get plenty of attempts to feel both exhausted and fulfilled by the end—perhaps even discovering a new passion.

When you book a normal session, you’ll typically share the boat with other enthusiasts. At Club Canary, booking is streamlined—you can secure your spot with a deposit and pay the remainder on the day of your adventure.

Professional waterskiing in Tenerife

If you are an advanced water sport enthusiast, we recommend you let us know in the booking so that we make sure an advanced trainer will be on the boat to give you some tips to make amazing progress. Another option would be to book the boat charter all to yourself and have at least an hour of riding.

Water conditions for waterskiing and the right time to choose

We don’t want participants to be in danger, or simply unable to do the activity due to too big waves or wind. To ensure that your booked Tenerife waterskiing lesson can go ahead, please follow the following 2 tips:

  1. Book your water ski session early in your vacation. If the day is not convenient we will contact you to reschedule.
  2. When you make your booking choose the option “when the conditions are best” we will then depending on the weather conditions choose the best water conditions time for you.

 

Connect with other water sport enthusiasts

In the motorboat during sessions you can expect to meet other nice people of all ages with a passion for wakeboarding and waterskiing. You will always have a sociable experience.

Book extra water ski time

Normally 15 minutes or even better  30 minutes is a perfect way to get an impression about the sport. If you would like to do more, you can book more in advance or choose to book a motorboat charter to have a lot of time just for you and your friends.

Private boat water sports session

With us, you can book a private boat charter for 1 to 4 hours. Enjoy the boat and an unlimited time to wake and water ski! You can also rent a boat for other purposes like whale and dolphin watching.

Water Ski Booking and Cancellation Policy

Club Canary simplifies booking your water skiing adventure with just a deposit. However, to ensure fairness for all, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Free Cancellation: Available up to 48 hours before departure for groups of 1-4 persons. For groups of 5 or more and private charters, cancellation must be made 72 hours prior.
  • Deposit Loss: If you cancel between 24 to 48 hours before your scheduled time, groups of 1-4 will lose the deposit. The same applies for groups of 5+ and charters, but from 24 to 72 hours before departure.
  • Late Cancellation Fee: Cancelling less than 24 hours before your trip incurs a fee of 25€ per person, or 50€ per hour for charters.
  • Very Late Cancellation or No-Show: If you cancel less than 2 hours before, or fail to show up, a fee of 40€ per person or 80€ per hour for charters applies.
