Do you offer pick-up and drop-off from my hotel?
No, this experience does not include pick-up or drop-off. You go directly to El Médano on your own (car, taxi or bus all work). For larger groups, we can arrange a private transfer on request, contact us on WhatsApp before booking to organise the details.
How do I get to El Médano from the south of Tenerife?
El Médano is around 15 to 25 minutes by car from Las Américas, Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos. A taxi costs roughly 30 to 40 euros each way. The 111 and 470 public buses also run to El Médano from most tourist areas in the south. Free parking is available near the meeting point.

Classic surf uses just a board and the natural power of the wave. Each sport feels completely different on your body, which is why trying all 4 helps you find your favourite.
Is the price per person or per group?
The price is 95 euros per person, with a 30 euro deposit at booking and 65 euros paid on arrival. The price stays the same for all participants from 2 to 6 people. There is no group discount because the cost covers your private instructor and full equipment for each person.
Why is there a minimum of 2 people for this package?
This is a private group experience designed for couples, friends or family. The minimum of 2 people keeps the energy social and the price fair for everyone. If you want a solo experience, book a private windsurf lesson or private kitesurf lesson instead, both available on Club Canary.
What if my group has more than 6 people?
For groups larger than 6, contact us on WhatsApp before booking. We split your group into 2 sessions running in parallel with a second certified instructor. Same price per person, same experience, just with 2 instructors instead of 1.

Yes, basic swimming ability is required for safety. You do not need to be a strong swimmer, but you must be comfortable in shallow water with a wetsuit. The session takes place close to shore in safe conditions.

Best Price Guarantee
- The price is the same whether you book through Club Canary or our partner school. If you find this same experience cheaper anywhere else, send us the proof and we refund the difference.
Cancellation
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your start time, the full deposit is refunded.
- Between 24 and 48 hours before: the deposit is forfeited.
- Between 2 and 24 hours before: deposit plus a 40€ per person penalty, to cover equipment setup and the instructor blocked from other bookings.
- No-show, or within 2 hours of the start: deposit plus a 60€ per person penalty, since gear, wetsuits and the instructor are already on the beach.
- Fell ill last minute? Contact us right away, we always try to help when possible.
- Try not to book this for the last day of your holiday, so a reschedule for wind is still possible.
Weather
- The activity can be affected by wind and sea conditions. If a reschedule is needed, our team contacts you promptly. If a new slot is not possible during your stay, you get a full refund or credit.
Safety & Responsibility
- Our partner surf school holds full activity insurance, certified local instructors, and provides all the equipment. Club Canary acts as the booking platform and is not responsible for accidents during the activity, responsibility sits with the partner school and the participant.
- These are physical water sports with some risk. Participants must be in good physical condition and follow all safety instructions. Ignoring safety guidance can end the session without a refund.
