Staying in Puerto de la Cruz and want a real quad adventure? You do not need to travel all the way south. Almost every other quad tour on the island starts near Costa Adeje or Las Américas, an hour away by motorway. This is the only one that leaves directly from the north, so you spend your time riding, not driving to the start. It is perfect for exploring the green valleys, volcanic roads and local villages of the north.

Route 1, Teide Volcano Ride
About 3 hours, from 135€- Van up to the mountain base. We drive you by van from Puerto de la Cruz up to our mountain base near the national park, so you skip the city traffic and start right in nature.
- Winding mountain roads. Ride up through green valleys and Canarian pine forest on smooth, paved roads.
- Above the clouds. Climb past 2200 metres into the volcanic, lunar landscape of the Teide National Park.
- Photo stops. Stop at the finest viewpoints for photos with Mount Teide and the famous sea of clouds behind you.
- Snack stop. Relax with a snack and a drink in nature before heading back.
- Fully paved. This route is 100% asphalt, there is no off-road inside the protected park, but the views are the real reason to go.
- Good to know. It gets cold at altitude, so bring a jacket. We can lend one if you do not have one. Best pick if you have not seen Teide yet.
Route 2, North Off-Road Adventure
About 2.5 hours, from 120€- Straight from Puerto de la Cruz. Gear up at the base and ride out through the real north of the island.
- Mixed route. Scenic local roads with ocean views, then dirt tracks through banana plantations and black volcanic sand.
- Real off-road. At least 30 minutes of pure off-road driving on dirt trails, the fun, dusty part.
- Hidden spots. Pass quiet villages and a quiet northern beach, with a viewpoint stop over the valley.
- Snack stop. A snack and a drink at the viewpoint before the ride home.

Tour Details And Important Information
This is the only guided quad tour that starts in the north of Tenerife, so there are no long transfers from the south. Since late 2025, Club Canary works with a licensed local team in Puerto de la Cruz. Choose the Teide volcano route or the north off-road route.
Schedule & Meeting Point- Daily departures at 09:00 and 13:30 (subject to availability). We suggest booking at least 3 days ahead.
- Meeting point on Calle Aceviño in Puerto de la Cruz (La Paz area), with the exact spot and pin on your e-ticket.
- The base is in a free supermarket car park, open daily 08:30 to 21:30, so parking is easy by car or taxi. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
- Single quad is 1 person, double quad is 2 people, never more than 2 per quad.
- All quads are automatic. No experience is needed, the team explains everything and you do a short practice first.
- Drivers must be 18+ with a valid B car licence, physical and original. Photos, photocopies and UK provisional licences are not accepted.
- Passengers from 7 years old, able to reach the footrests.
- Max 175 kg per quad (driver plus passenger). On a double, the passenger can drive too with a valid B licence, for a small insurance supplement at the base.
- Not suitable during pregnancy, or with back or neck problems.
- Closed shoes are required, no flip-flops or sandals. Long trousers are recommended.
- For the Teide route it gets cold at altitude, so bring a jacket. For off-road, wear clothes you do not mind getting dusty.
- Guides speak English and Spanish, and mixed groups are handled naturally.
- Show your Club Canary ticket on your phone or printed. Bring your original ID or passport and driving licence.

Do I need a licence or experience to drive a quad?
No quad experience is needed. The quads are automatic, and the team gives a full safety briefing and a short practice before you ride. Drivers must be 18 or older with a valid physical B car licence held as the original document. Photos, photocopies and UK provisional licences are not accepted. Passengers can join from 7 years old.
Is hotel pickup included, or do I arrive myself?
This is a self-arrival tour. You make your own way to the meeting point on Calle Aceviño in Puerto de la Cruz, where there is free parking in a supermarket car park, easy to reach by car or taxi. For the Teide route, a van then takes you up to the mountain base, so you skip the city traffic. Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time.
What is included in the quad tour?
You get a guided quad tour with a well-maintained automatic quad, a helmet and a full safety briefing, and a professional English and Spanish speaking guide in a small group. A snack and a soft drink at a scenic stop are included, plus photos and a video of your ride, taken by the guide and sent to you free. For the Teide route, jackets and gloves are available if you need them.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Deposit And Payment
- You reserve with a small deposit. You pay the rest on the day. The deposit is part of the total price.
Your Free Cancellation Window
- 1 to 3 people: free up to 48 hours before the trip.
- 4 to 7 people: free up to 4 days before.
- 8 or more people: free up to 7 days before.
- Big groups are hard to refill at the last minute. That is the only reason. If your group only gets smaller, tell us at least 48 hours before and we lower the price. To cancel, email office@clubcanary.com.
After Your Free Window Closes
- You cancel after your free window, but more than 24 hours before? You lose your deposit. You pay nothing more.
- You cancel between 12 and 24 hours before? You lose your deposit, and you still pay 80% of the rest. We send you a payment link.
- You cancel less than 12 hours before, you do not show up, or you arrive too late? You lose your deposit, and you still pay the full rest. We send you a payment link.
- Our partner charges us the full price for your reserved places either way. That is why the deposit alone can never cover a late cancellation.
The Only Exception
- The only exception is a real doctor or hospital paper that says you cannot join. It must have a date from before the trip, or the same morning. A paper made after the trip does not count. We need this document for our partner. Feeling unwell without this paper is not enough for a refund. We know this is strict, and we are sorry, but it is the only way we can protect against last-minute cancellations.
Being On Time
- The group leaves on time and the quads stay reserved for you. If you arrive too late, we cannot hold your place and it counts as a no-show. Guests who arrive drunk are refused for safety. They do not get money back, and they still pay the rest.

By booking with Club Canary, you confirm you have read and accepted this policy. It is not to make things difficult. It is what lets us offer easy booking with a small deposit in advance. A deposit alone does not cover the cost of a no-show or a last-minute cancellation. That is why these terms exist. If something genuinely goes wrong, talk to us. We will always try to find a fair solution.
