Is Playa de las Americas good for families?

Yes, on the beach side. Playa de las Vistas is flat and calm with lifeguards, Aqualand and Siam Park are ten minutes away, the karting track has a kids track and the mini golf is in the centre. Stay near Las Vistas or the Golden Mile, not next to Veronicas, and it is an easy family week.

Which is better, Playa de las Americas or Costa Adeje?

Las Americas for nightlife, cheaper hotels and a busier beach. Costa Adeje for luxury hotels, calmer beaches and the boats at Puerto Colon. They are ten minutes apart, so you can stay in one and use the other. Our Costa Adeje page has the same honest list for that side.
